Come and join us for the next part of our series in the book of James. Today we'll be learning about humility.

Who is the most humble person you know?
What makes them humble?
Do you enjoy hanging out with them? Why or why not?

As always, get in touch if you have anything to share!

Join us today as we look at the next section in the book of James.
We'll be focusing on just ONE word - but hopefully you'll remember that during the week!
Can you think of any other examples we could use to tell the difference between knowledge and wisdom? Get in touch:

The last video in our Moses series. Join us today as we look at how we should trust God – and how the Israelites were really bad at it!
And don’t forget to try out some of the activities to help you remember the story:

Manna from heaven game
Supplies: large numbers of Pom Poms (or other small soft items like cotton wool balls, marshmallows etc.) spoon, chopsticks, or other challenging items to carry stuff, cups
Goal: to be the first to fill all of their cups with “manna”
Rules: You cannot touch the pom-poms (manna) with your hands. You can use the spoon, chopsticks or what have you to take it over to the cups.

Paper rollercoasters
Sometimes when we go through life, it can have ups and downs – a bit like a rollercoaster! But God asks us to trust him no matter what. Why don’t you try and create your very own paper rollercoaster to help you remember that: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/stem-activities/paper-roller-coaster

Trust God Colouring
I don’t usually link colouring pages but this one is a great verse that will help us remember the story today. And even better, if you don’t want to print it out, there’s an online colouring option! http://www.supercoloring.com/coloring-pages/trust-in-the-lord-with-all-your-heart-and-lean-not-on-your-own-understanding

Today we're looking at one of the more well known parts of the bible - but how well do you know it?

As always, have a go at some of the activities to help you remember the story:

10 commandments chattabox: A great way to learn and play at the same time! Hit the download button on this page to get the template. http://www.rachaelsbooknook.net/10-commandments-foldable/

Commandment shoot out: Write or print out the commandments onto some individual papers and grab your projectile of choice (bean bag/nerf gun/ bow and arrows??) Place the commandments out on an appropriate surface face down and have fun aiming for them. Once you get one, give an example of how to NOT follow that commandment.

And don't forget to learn the hand actions in the video.

Join us today as we look at the story of the Israelites crossing the Red Sea and discover just how powerful our God is!

Don’t forget to do some crafts/activities to help you remember the story:

Simple Red Sea paper craft: https://10minutesofqualitytime.com/crossing-red-sea/ If you didn’t want to make the people you could always grab your Lego people collection and re-enact it!

Story inspired snacks are always the best! Try the Part the Red Sea Cupcakes It is a cupcake then has icing (blue would be best) on both sides with a strip left plain the in middle. If you have any people shaped sprinkles you could add one towards the back to look like Moses was about to cross.

Try out this cool science experiment that shows a little of what it would’ve been like for the Israelites watching the sea roll back! https://sermons4kids.com/parting_the_red_sea.htm

Join us as we continue looking at the life of Moses. Today we learn that we should fear God – unlike some of the characters in this story!
And don’t forget to do some crafts/activities to help you remember the story:

Craft the 10 plagues: https://craftingthewordofgod.com/2013/09/01/the-ten-plagues-of-egypt/
What’s not to love about this edible plague’s idea! https://halfwayhomesteaders.com/10-plagues-egypt/ If you can’t find the items used, make your own and send me a picture!
Salt dough hearts: Enjoy playing with salt dough (it’s like playdoh) but when you’re done, create a heart shape and leave it to dry. It will remind you how hard Pharaoh’s heart was. Let’s not be like him!

Thinking forward to summer camp! Would love to hear what you would prefer...

1. In person camp at church
2. Online camp (like last year)
3. Something else?

We're looking at the last week in August (23-27th) if that changes your answers!

Let me know!

Join us for our 2nd part in the life of Moses. We'll find out just how God can speak and what Moses' response was.

And maybe do some of these activities to help you remember the story:
If you've got some tissue paper and contact/sticky paper around the house, try out an awesome burning bush suncatcher: https://craftingthewordofgod.com/2014/06/17/burning-bush-sun-catcher/
Try out a "guess the sound" quiz to see how good you are at recognising those weird sounds! https://youtu.be/0GhwfyDcAoM
And this may not be the way God spoke in the story but it will definately help you remember that He does! http://creativesundayschoolcrafts.blogspot.com/2015/06/cell-phone-craft-i-can-talk-to-god-free.html?m=1
