A quick reminder before Thursday morning that back to school photos can often give away far too much about a child that may leave them vulnerable to predators.

Here are some tips for those who enjoy sharing photos with family and friends:

- Always ask your child's permission before sharing their image online, and respect their choices if they say no. Their trust is more important than a few likes.

- Make sure no one can share the image. Add a watermark to images that will show if they are copied and reposted.

- Make sure any visual clues that point to your address (like a number on a front door, or a noticeable porch) and your childs school (uniform, logo, book bag, class name) are covered up before uploading to socials, as stickers and pixelated effects, can be removed digitally.

- Set your privacy settings to a select group of friends and choose only those whom you trust.

Did you know that all the churches in our benefice are dog friendly? Here is lovely Lilo, dog of honour at a recent wedding at St Marys Frampton, hanging out with Tasha the bride and Rev'd Leila during the service.

Find out more about getting married in any of our churches at www.cscsvbenefice.org.

Looking to get married and want your dog to feel at home? Here are Rev'd Leila's top tips:

- Do bring your dog to a few sunday services before your wedding day (same smells but fewer strangers) to help them get used to some of the sounds and sniffs of church.
- Don't worry about how they will react to sound - Many dogs really like the sound of church bells and find organs soothing!
- Don't give dogs or very small children the rings - there are too many vents and grates in our floors, and the adorable moment just isn't worth the risk.
- Do appoint a familiar face as their minder for the day, with pockets full of their favourite treats and a bowl of water to help soothe them.

Did you know that Rev'd Leila paints our Baptism and Paschal Candles? Here is a timelapse of the latest candle being painted for an upcoming Holy Baptism this Sunday in Bradford Peverell Church.
They take time to paint, but it gives Rev'd Leila a welcome opportunity to set time aside to pray for the person being baptised and for their loved ones.

We're excited to share the first in our new Q&A video series with Rev'd Leila! In this video, she answers some of your questions about Sunday service and what to expect at church. If you have a question you'd like to ask, we would love to hear from you! Leave it in the comments below and your question could be featured in our next Q&A session. ☺️

Are you thinking about getting baptised? Baptism is a sacrament, a sacred moment, where a person is fully welcomed as a Christian into God's family. πŸ•ŠοΈ As an adult, baptism can be a personal declaration of faith, and you may wish to choose friends to stand alongside you as 'sponsors' in the place of godparents. Get in touch with Rev'd Leila to have a chat about becoming baptised - all are welcome!
