Avendale Old and Drumclog Church of Scotland We are a Church situated in the market town of Strathaven in South Lanarkshire, Scotland.

Our parish has two places of worship: Avendale Old Parish Church in Kirk Street, Strathaven and Drumclog Memorial Kirk, about five miles west of Strathaven along the Darvel Road. Come and join us at one of our main worship times:

Avendale Old - 11am every Sunday
Drumclog Memorial - 9.30am every Sunday

Wow! We are so grateful for our wonderful children and families who joined us today for our final Holiday Club adventures and picnic. With an egg hunt, songs, crafts, snacks and a two course picnic lunch we brought this holiday club week to a smashing end. Don’t worry if you missed our holiday club - keep an eye on here for details of our upcoming Messy Church and Haven Hangout youth club. See you soon!

Holiday Club 2026!!! Day Two was fantastic! Today we’ve been playing, singing, crafting, chatting and snacking while we find out about being on Jesus team and explored some of his stories. Our fab catering team provided lunch for all our volunteers before we got set up for tomorrow! Come and join us tomorrow for our final day of Holiday Club 2026!

Christmas in Summer - our first day at holiday club! We played ‘naughty elves’, had a snowball fight, learned about the birth of Jesus, had snack, stories and lots of fun and chat. Can’t wait to see you all again tomorrow!

It’s finally here! This week we are running our holiday club! Pre-register to guarantee your spot or turn up and register on the day. Come for one day or all three. You will be so welcome - all children going into Primary 2 up to and including those who have just left Primary 7. We’ve got games, crafts, songs, stories, challenges and snacks. We’ve got a superfriendly and energetic, fully PVG’d team of volunteers who have been busy getting everything ready for you. We can’t wait to see you!!
