Very sad to note the untimely death of our patron and great actor Sir Antony Sher. Sincere condolences to all his family, friends and those who loved him. He will be missed greatly

It's a real privilege to be in Stratford-upon-Avon on the Saturday nearest to William Shakespeare's birthday, when residents and visitors come together to celebrate the Bard.

Happy 451st Birthday William Shakespeare!

We'll be celebrating with coffee, cake and sonnets courtesy of Trinity Players at 11:00am today in Shakespeare's Church. All welcome.

The celebrations continue with an organ recital at 6:00pm this evening, followed by Festal Choral Evensong.

On Saturday (25th April) you can join the Shakespeare Birthday Parade to the church and leave a floral tribute to Shakespeare. Alternatively, come along from 1:00pm to view the tributes around Shakespeare's grave.

Then, on Sunday (26th April), the annual Shakespeare Service takes place in the church at 11:15am.

The dedication of the new golden Tibor fabric in the historic Becket Chapel will take place during the 10:00am Parish Eucharist on Sunday and will be followed by a talk from Tibor Reich's grandson, Sam, in the Parish Centre.
