We would like to sincerely thank all who joined with us yesterday afternoon for worship at our annual district service which was held in Leckpatrick Presbyterian Church. We were certainly blessed with glorious weather on the day!
Best thanks to all Sir Knights who attended, those from our own district and most especially those who visited from other districts. A good number travelled to be with us from Castlederg, Aughnacloy, Omagh and the City of Londonderry district chapters, and as one of the smaller districts, we in Strabane greatly appreciate your attendance and support on the day. We were also delighted that our own County Grand Master, Sir Knight Harold Erskine was able to be present with us as well.
Thank you very much to the Session, Committee and congregation of Leckpatrick Presbyterian Church for very kindly hosting us for our service. Thank you also to the members of Barron Accordion Band for leading us to and from the church on parade. As always, we greatly enjoyed your music and playing on the day!
A word of sincere appreciation to Sir Knight Rev Nigel Reid for travelling down from Armagh to lead us in worship but most importantly for faithfully proclaiming Godโs Word. Sir Knight Rev Reid preached very powerfully from 2 Kings 22 on the rediscovery of the Word of God during the reformation of young King Josiah in the Old Testament (โthe Word that was lost and foundโ), a very timely and earnest word for the day in which we live.
Finally, best thanks to the Officers and Members of Artigarvan R.B.P. 91 for all of their excellent arrangements on the day and to those who fulfilled marshalling duties, keeping us all safe on the road. Thank you to Artigarvan for the hospitality which was shown to us all afterwards, to all those who helped behind the scenes in providing tea and refreshments. A good time of fellowship was had by all.
As is often the case, we have inevitably left someone out but thank you very much if you helped in any way at all!
