🇪🇸 Neil and Jenny Stewart, global mission workers, Spain
Give thanks for the learning that has taken place in recent months through a number of fact-finding visits to other church planting initiatives in Spain. Pray that focused conversations during September will provide clear plans for the year ahead. Continue to pray for Neil and Jenny in relationship-building and as they seek to be ‘salt and light’ in the local community.
🇱🇻 Baltic Reformed Theological Seminary (BRTS), Latvia
Pray that God would continue to use the Seminary in many ways, especially for the training of local church leaders, including ministers and counsellors, building on a platform of biblically based programmes and resources in the Latvian language, and in a way that encourages church growth throughout the Baltic region.

🇲🇾 Volker and Jinhyeog Glissmann, global mission workers, Malaysia
Pray for Volker and JinHyeog as they prepare to be commissioned by Dromore Presbytery on Sunday, 13 September at 6.30pm in Harmony Hill congregation for service with the Increase Association based in Malaysia. Pray that they will know much grace and strength as they continue with deputation speaking engagements ahead of travelling to Kuala Lumpur in early October.
🇦🇫 Persecuted Church, Afghanistan
Pray for Christians in Afghanistan, a country that is so often in transition and where persecution is ongoing and severe. Pray for the believers seeking to live as faithful disciples, despite being driven underground, isolated from each other and the global church. Pray that they would know God’s protection, be able to evade arrest, and still manage to live as fruitful witnesses of Christ.

Give thanks for Rev Peter Bovill who has recently taken on the role of convener of Specialist Services. Give thanks for Peter's drive and faithfulness to the Council and the commitment that he gives to the work of the social witness of our Church. Pray for our members that they may feel valued in their role and in the decision making for the vision and work of the Council for Social Witness.
🙇‍♂️ Government
Pray for MLAs and TDs as they prepare to return following Summer Recess. Pray for the incoming parliamentary season that these elected representatives would display good leadership and make a positive impact representing their local communities.

Give thanks for the work of the UTC Management Committee, and its convener, Very Rev Dr John Kirkpatrick. Pray for the decisions that must be taken by the Committee on finance, staffing and many other matters. Pray for wisdom in dealing with the complex regulatory requirements that are part of running the College.

Pray for the work of the Financial Secretary’s Department, led by Mr Ken Swarbrick, the Director of Operations. Pray for the accountants and administrative staff who oversee all of the General Council accounting functions, including the work in social care homes, Union College salaries, pensions and funds of the church.

Give thanks for every opportunity the Chaplaincy Team has to meet the spiritual needs of those who find themselves in hospital across the Western Trust. Pray for staff working under great pressure with limited resources and pray for God’s help as chaplains share his love, hope and compassion with all they meet.
⛪ Ballycastle
Pray for the congregation of Ballycastle during this time of vacancy. Give thanks for their recent outreach initiatives and pray that more people would be drawn to join them for worship. Pray for the process of identifying a minister to serve here, in conjunction with outreach work nearby.

Give thanks that the recently concluded Youth Camp went very well. Praise God for all involved in leading the camp, including a team from Waringstown congregation. Pray that through the Bible teaching, games and crafts, many young people will have heard the gospel and that God’s Spirit will move in a way that bears much fruit.
🇮🇩 The Christian Church of Sumba, Indonesia (GKS)
Give thanks for 44th General Assembly of the GKS Synod which took place in early July with the theme, “Caring for life in the love of Christ”. Pray for the church’s leadership, including Rev Marlin Lomi, Moderator, and Rev Yakub M. Bili, General Secretary, as they work to implement the Assembly’s decisions in regard to issues of poverty, injustice and environmental damage.
