Now that the General Assembly has concluded, pray for the ongoing business associated with the General Council, e.g., Linkage and Reconfiguration. Give thanks for everything that has been achieved during the Assembly and remember also the decisions emerging from the General Assembly and for their implementation going forward.
โ›ช Training in Ministry
Pray for the work of the Linkage Commission as that body takes decisions on Leave to Call. Pray, too, for licentiates declared eligible for call, that clear sense of call will be evident for those seeking to discern the Lordโ€™s will.

Give thanks for trainee deaconesses, Sonya Boal in Elmwood, Lisburn, and Olivia Smyth in Wellington, Ballymena. Pray that they will have times of rest and refreshment over the summer months and be encouraged in their ongoing witness in the churches in which they have been placed.

Give thanks for the supply preachers who skilfully and faithfully help with worship on Sundays. Also, for Sunday school teachers taking a well-deserved break from mid-June. Pray for all the arrangements for the Spring Afternoon Tea for all the housebound members on Thursday 18 June.

Please pray for Neil, Jenny and their family that they would be led into both new and deepening relationships within the local community. Pray for open doors as they look towards planting a church in the Bilbao area and remember them also in their various forms of service in Bilbao International Church.

Pray that Joaquin Hernandez, the General Secretary of GBU, would know refreshment and encouragement while on sabbatical until the end of August. Pray for the ongoing preparatory work for the various camps that GBU will hold over the summer months, that God would inspire those giving seminars and talks and work in the hearts of the young people who attend.

Give thanks for the recent 'Church Weekend @ Home', where the congregation had extended time together as a church family and were blessed by Rev Sam Mawhinney's teaching from Exodus chapter 3. Please pray as the congregation seeks to appoint a youth outreach worker, with the deadline for completed applications Friday 19 June.

Thank God for all who come into the Centre each day looking for help. Please pray that as the team serve them, they would know, through their words and deeds, the wonderful news that Jesus loves them. Pray that those attending the Christianity Explored course will come to faith in Jesus.

Pray for the Moderator, Rt Rev Dr Richard Kerr, as he takes up his duties for the year. On Friday 19 June he will participate in a meeting of the Irish Council of Churches at St Anneโ€™s Cathedral. Pray for the meeting and the work of the Council, and for its newly appointed President, the Very Rev Dr Charles McMullen.

Pray for Dr Martin Accad, President of NEST, at this very trying time for Lebanon as a nation. Give thanks for the determination at NEST as staff adjust their teaching to constantly changing realities, as they support those in their neighborhood who have been displaced, and as they press on with the training of leaders with vision and passion, those who can surmount considerable obstacles in seeking the advancement of Godโ€™s reign of justice and peace on this earth.

Give thanks for Godโ€™s salvation in Christ and ask for a fresh appreciation and assurance of it as you worship.
๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ผ Volker and Jinhyeog Glissmann, global mission workers, Malawi
Please continue to pray for Volker and JinHyeog as they prepare to leave Malawi after sixteen years of service there, saying goodbye to so many friends. Praise God that he has called them into a new ministry adventure and has opened new doors to support church-based training. As Volker and JinHyeog prepare for Home Assignment in Ireland and then to move to Asia, do remember their three children who will all remain based in England.

Pray for the outworking of all decisions taken at General Assembly, that they might be implemented faithfully and wisely. Remember Rev Dr Richard Kerr as he commences his year as Moderator, that he will know Godโ€™s guiding and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit in the year ahead.

Give thanks for the staff and volunteers who have worked so hard to ensure Assembly week was a time of upbuilding fellowship and envisioning for global mission engagement. Pray that overseas delegates would experience safe and trouble-free journeys home over this weekend, and be able to reflect and recount with glad hearts on their time with us.

This week, the General Assembly considered a report from the Council for Mission in Ireland plans regarding the South West of Ireland. The report outlined priorities focused on strengthening existing congregations in the area and exploring new mission opportunities in the city of Limerick. Pray for the practical outworking of this report in the coming months.

Give thanks for the office-bearers of the Council for Mission in Ireland who delivered its report to the General Assembly this week. Pray particularly for Council convener, Rev Dr Ben Walker and Council Secretary, Rick Hill, that God would guide them in their ongoing work.
