Many thanks and well done, to those who oversaw and carried out the re-contouring and tarring of the St. Patrick's carpark. The puddles have gone, and the new pavement at the church entrance lends much more dignity.

ST. BRIGID’S BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT St. Brigid’s Bereavement Support group has recently been established and volunteers have received training in supporting families who have been bereaved. Parishioners who have been bereaved can request a visit by either emailing [email protected] or by completing a visit request form at the back of the Church and leaving it in the secure box provided.
Parish Youth Ministry Evening: Derry Diocesan Youth will host an evening for Parish Youth Ministry leaders and volunteers on Wednesday 20 May in Claudy Parish Centre at 7.00pm. The evening will provide an opportunity for parishes to reflect on their current ministries for young people and share practice. The focus of the evening will be on the GIFT Programme. Local Writing Group (Dunamanagh Scribblers) Open Night Friday, 29th May
Our local writing group (recently rebranded as Dunamanagh Scribblers) are having an Open-night on Friday, 29th May at 7,30 at CNG clubrooms (Dunamanagh).
EVERYONE WELCOME!! - to come along and meet and hear from - some of our amazing local ‘scribblers’ (creative writers) - who will read from their recently published Anthology of work.
Lough Derg will host their Day of Friendship and Prayer this Wednesday, 20 May. This special annual event promotes Christian unity. Archbishop Eamon Martin and Archbishop John McDowell will join Fr La Flynn, Prior of Lough Derg, for a day of spirituality, friendship and reflection. The day begins at 10am, finishing at 3pm on Station Island, an oasis of calm & peace with over 15,000 years of history. Admission fee of €25 includes boat fare, refreshments and lunch. DIOCESE OF DERRY LOUGH DERG PILGRIMAGE 2026: The Diocese of Derry Three-Day Pilgrimage to Lough Derg will take place from Friday 24 July to Sunday 26 July 2026. Lough Derg continues to welcome people seeking prayer, peace, reflection and renewal in the midst of busy lives. A bus will travel from St Eugene's Cathedral, via Strabane and Lifford. The Sisters from the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus based in Waterford will lead a ladies' weekend retreat in the Carmelite Retreat Centre, Termonbacca, Derry, entitled ‘In the Upper Room with Mary’, from Friday 22nd- Sunday 24th May, Pentecost weekend. DERRY DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO KNOCK SHRINE will take place on Saturday 6 June 2026. In conjunction with the All Ireland Rosary Rally, we will join those gathered to celebrate at our National Eucharistic and Marian Shrine. For those for whom it is convenient, buses will leave St Eugene's Cathedral, Derry, at 8:00am: cost £50, which includes dinner in Knock House Hotel following the conclusion of the Mass in the Basilica. Diocesan Schools' Religious Education Conference 2026 - 'Drawing New Maps of Hope'
The Derry Diocesan Catechetical Centre is delighted to be hosting its third Diocesan Schools' Religious Education Conference - 'Drawing New Maps of Hope'. The conference will take place over two days in Saint Columb's College, Derry. Tuesday 25th August is the day for Post-Primary Schools and Wednesday 26th August is the day for Primary Schools. We are delighted to welcome Dr Melodie Wyttenbach, Executive Director, Roche Centre for Catholic Education, Boston College as our keynote speaker. Bishop Donal McKeown will celebrate the Eucharist at the beginning of the conference each day. Alongside Dr Wyttenbach's keynote address, there will be 20 workshops, a panel discussion and the opportunity for attendees to meet and share their experiences and good practice.
