We just finished our Harvest Festival Service, thanking our Lord for all his provision to us through out the year. The message was about the bread of life, thanking God for both physical and his spiritual provision each day. We send our heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated food for our festival service. All gifts will be taken to the Stowmarket Food Bank on Wednesday morning, so still time if you would like to donate.
If you have a moment today, thank God for your food, and pray that those in our world searching for a loaf of bread to share with their family, will be provided for. And those seeking answers will receive bread from Heaven.

We had a fantastic afternoon today, a Last Night of the Proms special. We had fake Pimm's, cakes, got hold of some flags, words to the songs and sat back and joined in all the silliness of the Last Night of the Proms (although it is tomorrow at 7pm on the BBC). We sang and waved and had aright jolly, Simon even snuck in some silly string which Sheila enjoyed spraying around.

We made some prayer leaves today, to decorate our window for this years Harvest Festival on Sunday afternoon (2:30pm, all welcome to come and join us). We wrote the names of people we loved, or were thankful for. It was a lovely end to a busy day, full of joyful noise and praising our Saviour.

Yesterday we watched the second half of 'My Fair Lady' in our little cinema, scoffing fake Milky Ways/ Twix and then a choice of Ice-lollys, we do cinema in style here. Over the weekend our family, with Carolines help picked Blackberries and made an apple and blackberry crumble... Yum Yum, can't wait for today's lunch!

We have been on a Scavenger Hunt around Finborough this afternoon. Six items to find and put in our Scavenger bags, even picking up a gnome on the way back! It was all Jean's idea, although she was most anoyed that the wind was messing up her new hair-do! Peggy found the only conker, Sheila wanted to swap with Simon and push him back, and Lindsey and Jean discovered an unsusal friut in a bush. And in a special moment together, Christina was reunited with Fred. What a cracking jolly!
