We are having another wonderful wedding season at Stow Minster this year. We're so grateful when couples send us photos of their special day in our church. A huge thank-you to Angus and Victoria for sharing their wedding pics with us. We wish them well as they begin their married life together.

WITH GREAT SADNESS we announce the passing of Stow Minster's long serving churchwarden Alan Marshall. Alan peacefully passed away 19th January 2023 aged 78 years.

On Wednesday 1st March 4.00pm - Alan's body will be received into Stow Minster, to lie overnight, The committal will take place at Woodlands Crematorium, Scunthorpe, on Thursday 2nd March at 10:40am. This will be followed by a thanksgiving service at Stow Minster at 12:00pm.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu of flowers will be to Stow St Mary Restoration Trust, these may be sent to the funeral director c/o J E Thurlby Funeral Director Ashleigh House, Upton Road, Kexby, Lincolnshire, DN21 5NF 01427 788312

The West Lindsey Open Churches Festival starts this Saturday, with around 90 churches opening over two weekends, including Stow Minster. You can find the brochure for the event at the link below, from their Facebook post.

Stow will be open on the 14-15th May, Saturday 9am - 5pm • Sunday 9pm - 5pm, but there are around 45 amazing churches open this weekend too. Do please support them with a visit and like the page: May Churches Festival, West Lindsey, Lincolnshire

Stow Minster has re-opened each day from 8.30am to 7.00pm. This is subject to change should local Covid-19 infection rates increase. Visitors are advised to wear face masks, use the available hand sanitiser on entry, and follow social distancing rules.

Stow Minster will feature in BBC Radio 4's Open Country programme at 3.00pm on Thursday 22nd July when our Viking Graffiti will be the talking point. If you are not able to listen then it will be available on catch up
