Remembrance Sunday
Today we pause to remember with gratitude those who gave their lives in service of others — those who faced unimaginable challenges so that we might live in freedom and peace.
As we honour their sacrifice, we also commit ourselves to working for peace in our time.

🕊️ Let us pray together:

Almighty God,
We remember today those who gave their lives for our freedom. We honour the courage of people who faced danger and death, and we thank you for their sacrifice in the cause of peace.

Grant that the memory of their service may inspire us to live in justice, harmony, and compassion. May we never forget the cost of war, nor fail to seek peace among nations and peoples.

Bless all who still bear the scars of conflict — in body, mind, or spirit — and bring healing to a world still torn by violence and fear.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

🎶 Singers Wanted for District Choir! 🎶

A new choir is being formed for the launch service of the new West Midlands District — bringing together Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury into one vibrant community.

The service will take place at Walsall Central Hall on 30th August in the afternoon, and the goal is to gather singers from across the new district to create a joyful celebration.

A rehearsal will be held on Wednesday 30th July from 7.00pm at New Road, and everyone is welcome to come along and join in. Other rehearsals will also take place at other locations around the district to make it easy for people to take part.

All singers are welcome, especially those from Stourbridge Methodist Church and other choirs in the circuit. Please help spread the word and come and be part of this special event!
