For over 900 years, St Peter’s Church has been a place to celebrate your milestones, honour your loved ones, and bring the community of Alton together.
But to keep our doors open for years to come, we need your help.
You may not know, but the maintenance and running costs of our Grade 2* listed church are funded entirely by its parishioners.
Right now, we are facing some enormous costs to keep the church running, including:
Annual Diocesan Levy: £24,000
Annual Energy & Insurance: £7,000
Urgent Tree & Grounds maintenance: £2,000+
In addition, the church boiler is so old that parts are no longer available, and it needs to be replaced as soon as possible at an approximate cost of £26,000.
The list feels never-ending, and we cannot keep our doors open for the next generation without you. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly towards maintaining and running the church and keeping it at the heart of community life.
