In two weeks time, one of our parishioners, Dom will be taking part in the Great North Run raising money for My Sister's Place, a charity close to the hearts of our church.

A beautiful church means nothing without an amazing church family.

Following the refurbishment of the floor over the last week, it was all hands on deck yesterday to transform the church into the beauty that it is today.
Thanks to all who helped out.

If you would like to join us for our Sunday service, we meet at 10am. You are most welcome to come along for faith, fellowship with tea and coffee afterwards.

3 weeks to go before we finish Ignite for the summer.
3rd July, 10th July and 17th July.

On the 17th, it's going to be an excellent night as we are joined by a group of Americans to help out. If you have been before when they have been with us, it's always a brilliant night and to make it even more special, we're having pizza. Get the date in your diary now.
A special 2 hour session to finish the academic year.

Looking ahead to September, if you think that you could help out at Ignite every few weeks then we could do with your help. Please drop us a message or speak to one of the leaders on a Friday night.

This afternoon in Durham Cathedral, our church wardens, David and Gemma were sworn in for another year in service by the Rt Rev Bishop of Durham, Rick Simpson.
Thanks to Rev Paul Neville and family and friends who came along to support.

Yesterday, in Junior church our children made meringues.
Why you may ask? Just like a meringue which is made from only a very small number of ingredients which then grows, our faith does the same.
The sowing of a seed is another perfect example where from such a small beginning, growth occurs and just like our faith, this can be huge if we allow it to.

It was wonderful to be present at a wonderful service at York Minster today celebrating the consecration of Rick Simpson as Bishop of Durham. Please do keep Rick in your prayers over the coming days and weeks as he prepares for his installation at Durham Cathedral in June.
