This peer support group has been running since 2019 and covers the whole of Teesside.

Grief from su***de can frequently become complicated, bringing thoughts and emotions that can feel overwhelming. The support group offers a safe, confidential space to discuss these feelings.

Our amazing annual Fun Day is back this Saturday1-4 at Norton Methodist Church. All free and all welcome. Fete games, food, bouncy castles and lots more.

We have another bumper haul at the pantry- lots of potatoes 🥔 but also lots of fresh/frozen produce. Whether you an are a regular or a first timer or someone who hasn’t been for a while come down and help use reduce food waste. We need to free up some freezer space for this weeks collections.

We have a few challenges with our storage capacity atm. We lost fridge and freezer space when our appliance failed a few weeks ago. If there is anyone out there- either a business, charity or individuals who can help us access or raise funds to replace the fridge or the freezer, please get in touch. The pantry sees around 120-150 people a week accessing the repurposed food to prevent food waste and to help alleviate financial strain. We have been going over 5 years and don’t need much to keep us running apart from our wonderful volunteers and our cold storage appliances.

I am afraid we need a commercial sized chest freezer or fridge due to the capacity we need, so can’t make use of home appliances.

After a few weeks being a little more sparse today we have plenty. We have plenty of stuff this week including prepared vegetables, lots and lots of red peppers 🫑 ( I know it’s green!) and also plenty of fruit 🍈 🍋‍🟩 🍇.
Looking forward to seeing you all and if you weren’t gonna pop down please do and help us prevent food waste, whilst also feeding bellies.

We have lots and lots and lots of potatoes 🥔, carrots 🥕 and parsnips. We also have our usual array of other vegetables, salad, fruit, bread, sweet products, frozen and fresh.

Come and help us reduce food waste and fight poverty. Norton Methodist Church Community Pantry open 12.30-1.30 today and every Sunday.

It's a bumper week at the Community Pantry this week. We'll be open at 1230 tomorrow (Sunday) and looking forward to welcoming lots of folks to help us reduce food waste and food poverty!

A reminder that’s today’s the day- Norton Methodist Church does Disney. Opened at 4pm starting at 4.15pm. If you booked with us come on down- if you did nit due to no shows we can probably still fit you in if you would like to join us.

Coffee morning today in the hall behind the church. 10-12 scones and coffees and also an amazing cake stall, cards, books, jigsaws, toys and raffle.
