"It is a truth universally acknowledged, that character matters."
Jane Austen's novels are filled with flawed people learning humility, wisdom, love, and hope. Scripture tells the same story: God meets imperfect people with grace and invites them into lives of deeper faith and transformed hearts

Tonight we’ll have our second exploration of the works of Jane Austen by looking at Sense and Sensibility alongside a passage from the book of Romans.

You don’t need to have read the book, watched the film, or be familiar with these Bible passages to join the discussion, enjoy a cup of tea, and eat some cake!

Everyone is warmly welcome.

This week is Non-Binary Awareness Week—a time to celebrate and raise awareness of people whose gender identity is not exclusively male or female. It is an opportunity to learn more, listen to people's experiences, and work towards a society where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

As a church, we give thanks for the diversity of God's creation and affirm the dignity and worth of every person. We are committed to living out the values of Justice, Dignity and Solidarity, celebrating the gifts, faith, and experiences of non-binary people and seeking to be a community where everyone is welcomed, respected, and able to flourish.

Following the example of Jesus, may we continue to listen with compassion, speak with grace, and stand alongside one another in love. Together, we pray for a world where all people can live authentically, free from discrimination and fear, knowing they are deeply loved by God.

"There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus." — Galatians 3:28

Our toddlers had a wonderful time creating these adorable cow crafts today. Sticking and painting and lots of smiles, it was a fun way to think about cows for cow appreciation day tomorrow!🐄

Sometimes the most breathtaking view isn't found by looking up, but by looking down.

From hundreds of miles above the Earth, forests, rivers, mountains, and deserts reveal breathtaking beauty. In this image, the word "GOD" appears to emerge from the landscape, a striking reminder that creation has always pointed beyond itself to its Creator.

When Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He said:

*"Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven."* Matthew 6:10

Perhaps that's an invitation to see heaven's fingerprints all around us, not because Earth is heaven, but because God's glory is reflected throughout His creation. Every mountain, every river, every coastline, every living thing bears witness to the One who made it all.

Sometimes we search for God by looking farther into space. Yet Jesus also taught us to pray for heaven to be revealed here. Maybe that's why, when we pause long enough to really look at the world beneath our feet, we're reminded that creation is continually declaring His glory.

May we have eyes to see His handiwork, hearts that worship, and lives that reflect His kingdom, on earth as it is in heaven.
