"Stir us, O Lord, to dare more boldly, to venture into wider seas, where storms show Thy mastery, where losing sight of land, we shall find the stars. In the name of Him who pushed back the horizons of our hopes and invited the brave to follow."

Amen.

Thy Kingdom Come 2026 is inviting Christians around the world to gather in prayer, from Ascension to Pentecost, for more people to come to faith in Jesus Christ. 💡🙏

As we reflect on this year’s theme, God with Us, these 11 days are an opportunity to seek God’s presence, power and love for those we long to see transformed by Him.

✝️ May we be reminded that our security is found in the God who knows us and loves us completely.

Father God,
Thank you that you know
everything there is to know about me.
Thank you for your amazing unconditional love.
Walk with me through today.
Help me to find my security in you:
the Lord who knows me and loves me.

Amen.

"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." - Isaiah 41:10

Today, let us be reminded that God can use even the little things we do to bring about His light and love to others. 🙏

Gracious God,
the world seems so full of needs beyond my
understanding, pain beyond my ability to help
and hurts too deep for me to reach.
Thank you that your love can understand,
help and reach our suffering world.
Teach me that the little things I can do in your name
can be beacons of your love today.

In the name of Jesus Christ,
Amen.

Just a little poem for my congregation:
🙏
The young boy Samuel said to God, “Here I am,”
And last year, this old vicar echoed the same.
Knowing God was not finished with this servant just yet—
He had plans unfolding, a new path was set.
Off I was sent to leafy High Lane,
To serve in that place: “ church in the trees.”
I asked, “Could I help?” in a tentative tone,
And the warden replied, “Oh yes, please!”
Before long I was leading, preaching, and more,
And it felt as though I’d been here before.
I quickly found home in this welcoming space,
A truly remarkable, grace-filled place.
Then soon I was licensed—the role now was mine,
The interregnum ended in scarcely no time.
So here I am, Lord, Vicar of High Lane,
Here I stand, and I will not complain.
No two days alike in this calling I claim,
Seeking your strength as I serve in your name.

There will be moments I may stumble or fall,
Times when I feel I’ve not answered the call…
Yet then I will lean on the One who is true,
For with Him, all things are possible too.
So Here I am, Lord your servant and true,
And in all that I am, I rely upon You.
And for every one of you, my thanks overflow,
And each day that I’m here, His love we will show.
