Lourdes at a Glance ✨ Diocese of Shrewsbury Lourdes Shrewsbury Youth Mission Team

As we prepare for the 75th Diocese of Shrewsbury Pilgrimage to Lourdes, here’s a handy guide to the main events taking place throughout the week.

Please note: All times shown are French local time, and timings can change.

If you’re unable to join us in Lourdes, we warmly invite you to become one of our Pilgrims in Prayer by tuning into the Lourdes+ YouTube channel for three of the pilgrimage’s principal celebrations:

🕯️ Saturday 1 August – Torchlight Procession (9.00pm French time)
✝️ Sunday 2 August – International Mass (9.30am French time)
⛪ Monday 3 August – Mass at the Grotto (10.00am French time)

Throughout the week we’ll also be sharing daily updates, photographs, reflections and livestream reminders so that everyone can journey with us in prayer, wherever they may be.

Please keep all our pilgrims, volunteers, clergy and assisted pilgrims in your prayers, and be assured that your own intentions will be remembered before Our Lady of Lourdes.

📍 St Joseph’s Eucharistic Shrine — Friday 29 May
Holy Mass at 7:00pm

Churches will be open one hour before Mass for personal prayer and devotion before the relics, with individual and family blessings taking place after Mass.

All are warmly invited to come and seek the intercession of St Gerard Majella.

Manchester 10km Run
To raise funds towards the ongoing restoration here at St Joseph’s, Chrissy Vora is
putting on her trainers and will be running the Manchester 10k on Sunday 31st May 2026.
You will be aware that we are in the process of securing funds to complete the roof works, and then we will be able to begin looking at
