Today we remember ..

Today we remember the ninth anniversary of the Manchester Arena terror attack, which took 22 lives and caused lasting harm to many others. We pray for all those affected, for bereaved families and friends, survivors, and the wider Manchester community as we continue to grieve and remember.

The names of the 22 victims will be read aloud during services at Manchester Cathedral today. Join us at Morning Prayer at 9am, Holy Communion at 1:10pm and Evening Prayer at 4:30pm.

The cathedral will also be open throughout the day to anyone wishing to light a candle or pray.

Jonathan, our ALM, offers his apologies that they will not be an online morning prayer this morning due to a little bit of an eye issue. He hopes things will be resolved this week and morning prayer will return in a weeks time.

Good morning and welcome to our offering of Morning Prayer this Monday morning, which is also known as a Rogation Day, a day of prayer of fasting and prayer within the church. This Rogation Day comes before the celebration of Ascension Day, which occurs this coming Thursday 🙏
