A little bit more about what is happening this year:
Eco Fest 2026 events are happening in four different venues: St Mary's Church, Dunblane, Dunblane Library, The Braeport Centre and Creative Dunblane (at the Burgh Chambers), with many other organisations like Central Scotland School of Craft, The Giving Tree, Dunblane Wildlife Group, Dunblane Development Trust and Dunblane's Primary Schools all contributing in different ways.
The main event, once more, is Eco Fest Day on Saturday 9th May, with representatives from a varied selection of environmental and energy initiatives at St Mary's Church, Dunblane Hall, and the 25th Stirling (Dunblane) Boys' Brigade café and home baking, Anjali's Nimto delicious Indian food stall, and a fabulous Jazz Band in St Mary's Church, Dunblane grounds.
Eco Fest has partnered with the University of St Andrews Music Centre to provide Dunblane's primary children with an opportunity to learn to listen to the sounds of nature. A display of their learning will be available to view in St Mary's Church, Dunblane. Jane Petegree, who heads the project and is a Director of Music at St. Andrew’s Church in St Andrews, will be leading an all-age Eco Singing Workshop on Eco Fest Day, followed by a Creation Celebration at 3 p.m.
The Sunday after Eco Fest Day is also full of activities, including a family Forest Church service on Holme Hill and the annual Christian Aid service at St Blane's Church, Dunblane.
For the nature lover, Eco Fest has you covered: explore the Laigh Hills Community Orchard Trail & Scotland's Gardens Scheme Stirlingshire Dunblane's Open Gardens or join University of Edinburgh Sustainability for a guided walk at Dunbrae near Dumyat
There's also a programme of evening talk, workshops and board-gaming from the 5th to the 15th of May, Dunb including Carbon Choices - climate blogs and William Thomson on everything from green economics to Scotland's sustainable future.
Come along and enjoy!
