🌹Today we celebrate, with joy and gratitude, the birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary.🌹 We thank God for giving us Mary, who would become the Mother of Christ. 🙏✝ She is a steady, loving presence beside all who seek her. Our Lady’s birthday shows us that every life has a purpose in God’s plan. 💕🕊

🌟 The September/October issue is out now! 😁
☘ Golden and Diamond jubilee celebrations for our missionaries. 🥳 Congratulations to them for many years of carrying the joy of the Gospel to the people they were sent to serve. 🕊 ✝ ❤ We feature reports from Malawi and Nigeria of projects that are supported by St Patrick’s and Misean Cara. These projects show what happens when compassion becomes action and communities rise together. 🌱✨ There are many more articles in this issue. Happy reading!

This Sunday’s Readings explore the cost of faithfulness through Jeremiah, Peter and Jesus. Jeremiah feels exhausted and rejected, yet cannot silence the fire of God’s word within him. Peter struggles to accept a Messiah who must suffer, while Jesus willingly embraces the path of self-giving love.
Jesus’ call to “take up your cross” is not an invitation to seek suffering or tolerate injustice. Rather, it means allowing love, generosity and faithfulness to take priority over comfort, security and self-interest. Difficulties and sacrifice are sometimes unavoidable, but they do not mean God has abandoned us. Like Jeremiah and Peter, we can persevere because we have encountered a love that is worth giving our lives to. The homily for tomorrow is now available on our website: www.spms.org/sunday-homilies I hope you have a good weekend and week. .

🌟I hope you’ve had a great week!😊 The homily for tomorrow is available on our website: www.spms.org/sunday-homilies 🕊️ Faith begins with one question from Jesus: “Who do you say I am?” This homily asks us to put Christ back at the centre of our lives — letting his love reshape how we see and care for others.❤️ ✝ Peter’s journey shows that knowing Jesus is lifelong, and conversion is simply turning towards him again and again.✨ At the heart of it all is love — the love that heals, restores and becomes the light that guides our choices, our relationships and our mission. 🙏🏽💕🙏🏽. ✝ Today is the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin.🌹🕊 It celebrates the end of Mary's earthly life when she was taken up body and soul into heavenly glory.✨ It’s about God lifting someone who lived an ordinary life into something whole and beautiful. 💕
"The Virgin Mary is exalted high above the choirs of angels. Let all the faithful rejoice and bless the Lord."
