Stephanie is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter who has spent over 26 years sharing her songs and stories across the US, UK and beyond. Her music is reflective, honest and full of hope, with plenty of stories woven in along the way.

It’s set to be a really special evening, and we’d love you to join us.

The event is free, but please let us know if you’re planning to come so we have an idea of numbers.

You can find out more about Stephanie and her music at www.stephaniestaples.com

Have you ever wondered if you've done something God can't forgive?

Maybe you've messed up or done something considered "unforgivable".

Maybe there's something in your past that you wish you could go back and change.

The good news of Christianity isn't that we can make ourselves good enough for God.
It's that Jesus came for sinners.

Peter denied Jesus three times. And yet, after the resurrection, Jesus went looking for Peter and restored him.

God's forgiveness isn't pretending that what we've done doesn't matter.

It's knowing that Jesus has dealt with our sin on the cross.

“There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
Romans 8:1

Whatever your past looks like, it isn't beyond the reach of Jesus.

If you want to talk further on this subject then please drop us a DM or come along to our service. We would love to meet you. Come as you are.

Yesterday we started a new series in the book of Esther.

Esther begins in a world where God’s people are a minority, living under the rule of a powerful but deeply flawed king. At first glance it looks like the king is in control. But behind all the chaos, God is quietly at work.

So where does real power lie? Esther reminds us not to be overwhelmed by what we see around us, but to trust the God who is always working, even when we can’t see what he’s doing.

Have you ever wondered why God allows suffering?

It's probably one of the biggest questions people have about Christianity.

If God is good, and God is powerful, why doesn't he just stop it?

The Bible doesn't brush that question aside. Job asks it. The Psalms ask it. Even Jesus wept when he stood at the tomb of his friend Lazarus.

Christianity doesn't promise that life will be easy. But it does tell us that God hasn't stayed distant from our suffering.

In Jesus, God came into our broken world.

And the Bible promises that one day he will make all things new.

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes.”
Revelation 21:4

We can't answer it fully in this space but we would recommend some resources:

The Bible Project has a podcast called " A God of love a world of suffering"

The Gospel Coalition has this video to watch:
www.thegospelcoalition.org/podcasts/tgc-podcast/gospel-hope-classic/

It's okay to ask the hard questions.

If you are suffering and /or have questions then please do drop us a DM or come along to our service. We'd love to meet you.

Yesterday Donny preached to us from Psalm 23 which paints four beautiful scenes, each reminding us of who God is:

The garden: our Shepherd provides, leads and gives us rest.

The dark valley: when we can’t see the way ahead, our Shepherd is still with us.

The table: our Shepherd provides abundantly and cares for us even in the presence of our enemies.

The Christian life: Like sheepdogs goodness and mercy follow us all our days, guiding us and protecting us.

And who is this Shepherd? Jesus says, “I am the good shepherd.” He knows His sheep, cares for them and lays down His life for them.

This week, wherever you find yourself remember who your Shepherd is. Draw near to him in the good and the bad.

Have you ever wondered why Christians pray?

If God already knows what we need, why do we need to tell him?

Prayer isn't about giving God information he doesn't already have. It's about coming to him. Bringing our worries, our questions, our thankfulness and the things we don't know what to do with. Its about relationship.

Jesus' disciples actually asked him to teach them how to pray.
And Jesus didn't give them a complicated formula. You can read it in Luke 11.

Why not try praying today?
You don't need fancy words.
You can just come to God.

If you would like prayer or have any questions why not drop us a DM or come along to our church service. You'd be most welcome.

On Sunday we had our first Family Service of the new term, and it was so good to see so many families and friends coming together to worship.

Ivana from Friendsinternationalstirling shared an update on the work she does with international students, and Donny preached from Matthew 19, reminding us just how important children are in Jesus’ upside-down kingdom.

He reminded the children that the church is for them. Every service is a family service, and we don’t need to wait until we’re older to come to Jesus.

Please pray for our children.
That they would grow up loving and serving Jesus, and be beacons of light in their schools.

And please pray for Ivana and Friends International as they reach international students.
Pray that seeds would be sown, that people would come to know Jesus, and for those who follow Jesus and return to countries where they may face persecution because of their faith.

Please keep these things in your prayers this week.
