Holy Trinity Stevenage

Holy Trinity Stevenage Holy Trinity is the name of a Church of England church in Stevenage and also the name of the parish. http://bulletin.holytrinity-stevenage.info

Holy Trinity is a traditional style building offering a traditional style of worship. The church is situated at one end of the High Street in Old Stevenage. It is the main church for the parish, but we also have services at Christ the King in Symonds Green (see link at bottom of the page). Over 150 years ago the church was built to serve the south end of the town. It is now one of a number of pari

shes in Stevenage. At Holy Trinity we have a 9.45 Eucharist every Sunday, with provision for children, as well as Morning Prayer (8.15, Mon-Thurs), and a quiet Eucharist at 8 am on the first Sunday of the month.

Our fabulous Art Club Drop-In have created this for World Ocean Day on 8 June. Church is open almost every day, so you can drop in yourself, for a prayer or a moment of quiet reflection, or to admire this display and reimagine a better relationship with this part of our world.

We love the way our Flower Team and our Art Club Drop-In collaborate to decorate our church as we move through the seasons. From today, Ascension Day, we pray every day until Pentecost: "Come, Holy Spirit" and "Thy Kingdom Come". These photos are just a taster - do pop in to admire the displays and enjoy a quiet moment in this holy and beautiful space.

On Sunday we observed Vocations Sunday. This video is especially about church ministry & leadership, but God calls every one of us to use our gifts and abilities for good. How might you more fully live your calling?

We gave away over 250 Easter treats today as part of the Easter trail with Stevenage Old Town Business & Community Partnership - Sotbcp. Welcome back tomorrow at 9.45 am for our Easter service!

The chocolate eggs were fairly traded and came with a leaflet about the Easter story, thanks to the Meaningful Chocolate Company. We are part of the The Diocese of St Albans in The Church of England.

The Easter Vigil is one of the most ancient of Christian services. We gather at 9.30 pm on Saturday to hear again the foundational stories of our faith and prepare the church for our Easter celebrations. At midnight we begin to spread the light of Christ, and make our first proclamation of the Resurrection. At 9.45 am we gather to continue joyfully with a baptism and Eucharist. We would love you to join us!

It's always encouraging to join Christians from across Stevenage on Good Friday, witnessing to this truth: "The grave, like your tomb, Jesus, is not a place of agony but opens Heaven to me and shuts the gates of Hell." Scroll down to see some of us who walked - others joined us at the town centre.

Every Monday we pray for the bishop of The Diocese of St Albans. After + Alan retired, we prayed for + Richard as acting bishop, and recently we've also been praying for "whoever is to be appointed our next bishop". Now we know! Join us in prayers for + Andrew and his family as they prepare to move to our diocese.
