There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of@tue Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat in it… “Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: he has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you to Galilee. There you will see him.”
Matthew 28.2, 6-7

He is risen indeed. Hallelujah!

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here. He has risen, just as he said’ come and see the place where he lay.”

The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
Hosanna in the highest heaven!”
When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?”
The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”

We enjoyed our Mothering Sunday service today. Much fun (and some chaos) was had at our All Age & Family service. We were also able to give posies to many who joined us today. Both our services looked at Isaiah 66.5-13 for inspiration. Do listen to the sermon from the BCP service if you’d like to hear more. What was your favourite moment?

Why not join us for our services this Epiphany season where we consider what following Jesus looks like in the early chapters of Matthew's Gospel.

Missed yesterday? Have a listen to Simon's sermon from our 9 am BCP service, which considered how close Herod was to seeing God. Link in bio.

I wonder how close you've ever been to God yourself? Do get in touch with your story.
