Just a reminder that Helen Metcalfe is our Medium for Sunday. Helen has stepped in at the last minute as our Medium cancelled due to illness.
Also we have healing before the Service from 5.30.
Reminder if you haven't been for a while . Our Church was sold so we are in temporary accomodation. Northfield Village. Co-operative street. 2nd turning on right.

The book lies open,
pages stilled in the middle of something,
as if the story paused
and never found its way back.

I run my fingers along the edges,
half expecting the next chapter
to appear if I wait long enough
or read the same lines again.

We weren’t finished.

There were conversations still forming,
plans that hadn’t been spoken out loud,
moments that were supposed to arrive
in their own quiet time.

Instead, everything stopped mid-sentence,
like a thought cut short,
leaving behind only fragments
I keep trying to piece together.

I imagine how it might have gone,
what we would have added to the pages,
how the ending might have felt
if we had been allowed to reach it.

But stories don’t always close properly,
sometimes they remain open,
held in the hands of the one left behind,
still searching for the rest of it.

So I carry it like this—unfinished,
turning the same memories over,
holding onto what was written
and grieving what never got the chance.
