Sue Dixon Memorial Service
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Sue Dixon will be held Saturday 5th September at All Saints' Church, Church Lane, Sandon, ST18 0DB followed by a wake nearby (TBC). For directions to the church go to www.sandonallsaints.com

At our recent Art Exhibition we had a visitor called Carol who told us she was about to visit Australia. She also bought some of the paintings on display in the church. Things are really gearing up for our time travel event on August 1st (10:00 to 16:00). Professional reenactment groups and volunteers will take you back in time and entertain you with stories about their characters. What a great way to learn about history! This event is just one that All Saints' is holding this year to celebrate 1,000 years of worship, heritage, and community. In addition to living history, historic choral music will be performed from 12:30 to 13:30, refreshments will be available, as will games and craft activities for younger visitors. It's also a great opportunity to see the fantastic conservation work that has been undertaken at the church..

It was an absolute pleasure to welcome Year 2 pupils from Bridgtown Primary School to All Saints' today. They spent most of the day with us, learning about the history of the church and its environment. They took part in bell ringing, dressed in period costumes, handled historic objects and completed a trail of the most important and some of the oldest features of the church, They also had the opportunity to take part in bioblitz activities such as bug hunting, bird watching and butterfly spotting. A big thank you to all the staff and helpers from the school and to our volunteers who made it happen. Thanks also to Keystone Heritage & Staffordshire Wildlife Trust for their support today.
