The purpose of Gnosall Carnival remains the same each year, to create a fun filled entertaining day for the village, whilst raising funds for the ongoing restoration of our ancient and beautiful village church.
St Lawrence is an 11th century Norman Church with arches and walls dating back to this period, however continued restoration is required to keep this heritage site in its full glory.
Gnosall Carnival, alongside the Friends of St Lawrence, helps to support the many restoration and repair projects. Some are smaller than others, but examples of current key projects are:
Repair of the church boiler,
Roof tile replacement to fix a leaking roof,
Repair of the church pinnacle on the tower roof (this is a BIG project!)

The Gnosall Carnival team are proud that the village enjoys the Carnival Day and that the funds we all raise go towards such a beautiful and magnificent church.
