St Michael and All Angels' Church Colwich St. Michael and All Angels is the Church of England church serving the communities of Colwich, Little

St Michael and All Angels’ church stands on a site which has long been regarded as sacred. Tradition has it that Saint Chad, a seventh Century Bishop of Lichfield, visited the site and traces of Norman (possibly Saxon) stonework can still be seen in the walls of the present building. This building is the main venue for this lively Anglican, parish church, hosting Sunday worship, a monthly community lunch, and other activities. We have close links with Colwich (Church of England) Primary School.

From dog groomer to dog collar-ed. Please pray for Louise Jones, and the other 6 candidates being ordained Deacon at Lichfield Cathedral on Saturday afternoon. You may remember her from behind the counter at the pet shop, originally in Great Haywood, then in Hixon, or from the time she spent with us in our Benefice whilst on placement last year.

Don't forget the Benefice Bible Book Club this coming Sunday, when we'll be talking about the book of Galatians. Just read it, and join us for conversation over tea and coffee and biscuits at Colwich Church, 4.00 pm Sunday 28th June. Galatians takes about 20 minutes to read through: see https://www.biblesociety.org.uk/resources/bible-book-club/galatians for an overview of the book from the Bible Society.

Galatians is written into a very particular situation. After Paul had founded the Galatian Christian community, a community that included both Jews and Gentiles, Jewish Christian evangelists had arrived arguing that those who wanted to follow Christ had to be Jewish and so needed to be circumcised.....
