An exciting series of Roadshows are taking place across the country with one in Fife on Saturday 18th March 10am – 3.30pm at The Wellesley Centre. This is being run to explore how to embrace the significant opportunity we have to serve our local schools and build supportive relationships with pupils and staff . This is a great opportunity to come and meet others in Fife involved in schools ministry and share ideas and encouragement as well as to be equipped and inspired to become more involved in schools.

Young people aged 18-25 from across the Presbytery are asked to consider being a youth representative at the Church of Scotland General Assembly 2023 . 4 places are available for young people within Fife Presbytery. Youth representatives from each of the presbyteries will join together for a week of debate, discussions, worship, fellowship, learning and decision making. To find out more, or register your interest send an email to [email protected]

To be a youth representative you must be aged between 18-25, you must be involved in the life of a congregation within the presbytery, but you do not need to be an Elder or Member. You must be free between Fri 19th to Thurs 25th May, 2023. (The runs from Sat 20th to Thurs 25th May, 2023). takes place at the Assembly Hall, Mound Place, Edinburgh. Guidance and support in order to engage with the General Assembly will be provided for youth representatives. Accommodation in Edinburgh will be provided and all expenses will be paid for youth Representatives. (There is an online youth representative option but in person attendance is encouraged as there will be less support available for online attendees.)

Sat 21st January: Beyond the Hymn-Prayer Sandwich …with Jo Love
Jo is a deacon and worship leader at Gorbals Parish Church, she works with Wild Goose and contributes to
Spill The Beans. She has been leading creative worship for many years and brings a depth of experience to the
subject. She is dedicated to creating excellence in worship as well as help us think outside the box.

Sat 28th January: Creative Digital Worship …with Neil Young
Neil is the youth pastor in a large parish grouping in the east end of Glasgow and chaplain at the local
secondary school where he has been developing creative worship that engages young people for many years.
Neil also runs Bolt FM a pop-up radio station which trains local people to communicate effectively. As worship
leader at St. Paul’s parish church he incorporates video with local people and imaginitive messages that go
well beyond putting up the hymn words.

Saturday 4th February: Sharing the Message …with Jeff Martin
Jeff comes from an American tradition of preaching but is also minister at Cupar Old and Monimail churches
so is sensitive to the Scottish context. He is creative and innovative in how he presents the message always
looking for ways to engage people through what he presents.

Saturday 11th February: Creative Worship through Arts and Crafts …with Carol Marples
Carol is a successful artist working from Leith School of Art, she is also director of Soulmarks Trust which
explores the boundaries between art and spirituality. She has exhibited artworks and run workshops at
Greenbelt and Solas festivals, at COP26 and many other events over the years, Carol has worked with many
congregations to integrate arts and crafts in worship.
