Open Meeting with Bishop Jean and Archdeacon Eleanor

Everyone is warmly invited to an open meeting with Bishop Jean and Archdeacon Eleanor at St James’ Church, Spilsby, to discuss the proposed changes and future plans for our churches.

This will be an opportunity to hear more about the proposals, ask questions, share views, and take part in an open and honest conversation about the way forward for our churches and communities.

We would be delighted to see representatives and members from all our churches attending. Your voice is important as we consider the future together.

Do you ever find the Holy Trinity difficult to understand? Here’s a simple way to help using an apple pie:

🥧 The Crust represents God the Father. It forms the foundation, holds everything together, and provides the structure for the whole pie.

🍎 The Apple Filling represents God the Son (Jesus). It is the heart of the pie—the rich, distinct substance that gives it its flavor, sweetness, and nourishment.

🍦 The Cream represents God the Holy Spirit. It is added alongside the pie, bringing comfort, enhancing the experience, and helping make it feel complete.

Just as each part has a unique role yet contributes to one apple pie, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are distinct Persons who together are one God.
