We are delighted for Fr. Gareth at this appointment, although we will miss him hugely.

Fr. Gareth will finish work here at the beginning of August. His Farewell Mass and Party will be on Monday 31st August at 7pm, the Feast of St. Aidan and the Saints of Lindisfarne. All are welcome.

We are delighted to announce that Fr Gareth Gladman, currently Assistant Curate for the Benefice of Christ the King, Bowburn and St Andrew's, Tudhoe Grange has been appointed Priest in Charge for the Benefice of Middlesbrough, The Ascension.

The Bishop of Whitby will officiate at the licensing Service which will take place on Wednesday 9 Sep, 7pm at The Ascension, Middlesbrough. The Bishop of Beverley will also be present to pray for God’s blessing as Fr Gareth takes up this new ministry.

We look forward to welcoming Fr Gareth and ask for your prayers as he enters this exciting new chapter of his ministry.

This coming Sunday, 5th July, we are delighted to welcome back Fr. Joe (Colin) Dickson as our preacher. Fr. Joe, who is Rector of St. David's Pilton, Edinburgh, and a Novice in the Oratory of the Good Shepherd, is a longstanding friend of our parishes, and is always a memorable speaker.

Join us for the Sung Mass at 9am, when in our gospel reading, we will hear Jesus' invitation to come to him and be refreshed. Sunday school activities for children will also be happening. Everyone is welcome.
