Can you help with this appeal for carrier bags and food items for the Spennymoor Foodbank? Donations can be left at the St Paul's Centre on weekday mornings.

Foodbank appeal...
Donations of CARRIER BAGS would be greatly appreciated, as well as any of the following
Tinned vegetables
Tinned meat
Tinned fruit
Pastes/sandwich spread.
instant coffee
teabags
instant or kettle food

Donations can be made at St. Pauls Centre Monday - Friday 9am -2:30pm!

A Civic Service of Music, Readings and Prayers, in Thanksgiving for our Late Queen, will take place in St. Andrew's at 6pm on Sunday 18th September, the eve of her Funeral.

All are invited to attend the service and refreshments afterwards.

St Paul's Church will be open from 10am to allow people to pay their respects to Her Majesty The Queen.

St Paul's Church will be open from 10am to allow people to pay their respects to Her Majesty The Queen.

During this period of national mourning, St Paul’s Church will be open on Saturday (10th September) between 10am and 5pm for people to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II. There will be an opportunity for quiet prayer and reflection and to light a candle.

THIS THURSDAY! The Bishops of Durham and Jarrow will be walking through Spennymoor as part of their Deanery Prayer Walk. Do stop and say hello if you see them!

Below are the expected timings and you’re very welcome to join them at any point on the walk.

11:25am: Paxtons Sandwich Bar, Bowburn, to King Street School, Spennymoor
3pm: King Street School to St Paul's Centre
5pm: St Paul's Centre to Clem's Fish Shop
5.30pm: Clem's Fish Shop to St John's, Kirk Merrington

All are welcome to attend the service of commemoration at St Paul's on Saturday morning.

All are welcome to attend the service of commemoration at St Paul's on Saturday morning.

Tomorrow at St Paul's there will be a service commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Falklands conflict. The service starts at 11am, preceded by a parade of standards at 10:45am. All are welcome to join us for this service.
