On Saturday evening nearly 200 people filled St Paul’s Church for the Spennymoor Town Band and Youth Band Summer Concert! Here’s just a flavour of the wonderful music performed by the Bands, conducted by Fiona Casewell and James Clarke.

To celebrate Volunteers’ Week, we want to say a big THANK YOU to all our amazing volunteers! We are so blessed with all the skills and experiences that people bring to all we seek to do in our community, and we give thanks to God as he equips them to serve others in so many ways of church life. These photos are just a small number of so many incredible volunteers, so to you all – THANK YOU!

This morning from 10am at Trinity Methodist Church!

For our coffee morning this morning we're going with the lovely people from St Paul's Church Spennymoor to raise some pennies for our summer Holiday Club which is happening in July.

Bacon butties and hot cuppas as normal, but we'll also have a yummy cake stall this morning too!

We'll see ya there!

This year marks the 150th anniversary of The Mothers' Union and as part of the celebrations, a prayer capsule is travelling across the region, stopping at churches where the prayers of members are being added.

Recently the St Paul’s branch welcomed the capsule, along with Diocesan President Kathleen Wilson for a special service giving thanks for the work of the organisation over the past 150 years.

Pauline Storey wrote the prayer for the St Paul’s branch which was added to the capsule during the event. Later in June the capsule will arrive in London where it will be stored in the archives at Mary Sumner House, the Mothers’ Union’s head office.
