🎈Our annual craft fair means it’s also time to launch our annual balloon race 🎈

We’ve added some features this year, so you can have your very own face on a balloon (or any other picture!) and budding artists can colour their own balloon design and upload it.

Hopefully this year we will sell so many balloons that a certain person doesn’t end up with a winning balloon (naming no names of course) 🤞😜

Excited for launch day on 27th September, to see where all the balloons end up!

🕯️ Remembering Bolton Brow – 33 Years On

This Sunday, 6th September, marks the 33rd anniversary of the Bolton Brow disaster, a day that remains deeply etched in the memory of Sowerby Bridge.

On 6th September 1993, six people tragically lost their lives. As a community, we remember them, their families and friends, and all those whose lives were forever changed by the events of that day.

Christ Church will be open from 8.30am on Sunday morning, offering a quiet space for anyone who wishes to come in, light a candle, sit in reflection or spend a few moments in prayer.

There is no need to stay for a particular length of time — simply come as you are and stay for as long as you wish.

🕯️ We remember the six lives lost.
We remember their loved ones.
We remember as a community.

Everyone is welcome.

Our usual "button pusher" is away enjoying the weekend with family...so someone else is at the controls! who knows what might happen!

Whether you're joining us from home, on holiday, or somewhere further afield, we're really pleased to have you worshipping with us.

There’s plenty going on at Christ Church, Sowerby Bridge as part of this year’s Rushbearing celebrations!

What a fantastic afternoon of fun and fellowship at our Church Social Crown Green Bowling Event held at Hillcrest Bowling Club

It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves, whether they were playing, cheering from the sidelines, or sharing food and conversation together. A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a successful social event.
👏 Congratulations to our winners, Dave and Malcolm! A well-deserved victory after some great bowling.

We look forward to seeing everyone again at our next church social event!
