2nd Sunday of the month In It Together Cafe Style worship at St Peter's Community Centre Consecrated in 1766, St Peter's Church has long been a part of the village of Sowerby and it's semi-rural community, a tradition it continues into t

he 21st century with strong links with the local primary schools and a variety of community groups using the facilities at St Peter's Community Centre, situated opposite the Church. Just a few photos from yesterday's Sowerby Bridge Rushbearing Festival here at St Peter's
The weather did nothing to dampen our spirits and everyone had a great time
Thanks again to the Rushbearing Association for all that you do to put on such a fantastic community event, to all dance and performance groups, and to the volunteers who help steward the event
And of course a big Thank You to our refreshments team who worked hard all morning to kerp the hot drinks and cakes flowing đź‘Ź

After visiting Sowerby St Peter's cricket club, the cart passed church again on its way to The Rushcart pub and we said goodbye to our Sowerby Bridge Rushbearing Festival friends for another year
