*Dhul Hijjah and EID-UL-ADHA ANNOUNCEMENT*

Assalamu’alaykum,

Tomorrow, Monday, is the first day of Dhul-Hijjah.

Eid-ul-Adha will be on *Wednesday 27th May*

*The day of ’Arafah:* Tuesday 26th May

Please try to fast the coming 10 days if not possible then Mondays and Thursdays if not possible then make an effort to fast on the day of Arafah.

The Prophet ﷺ was asked about fasting on the day of ’Arafah, he said, “It expiates the sins (Minor) of the past year and the coming year.” [Muslim]

🔸 *EID SALAAH*

Southport Masjid will have two Eid salahs. The 1st at 8:30
The 2nd at 9:30
Places reserved for ladies in both salads
Please come early, Recite Takbeer and be mindful of our neighbours

All local police patrol will give passing attention to Merseyside’s mosques ahead of Tarawih prayers this evening.

Police patrol will be alerted to drive by mosques and check-in as appropriate.

Please call 999 for any emergency. Priority will be given.

On Sunday 15th February we had the pleasure of the Archbishop of Liverpool giving Southport Interfaith Annual Lecture . A group of Faith leaders and members of the community attended at the Holy Family Church.
