Greetings from church ⭐

‼️ Today, after the 5.30pm Mass and on Sunday after the 11am Mass there will be two open meetings to present the three suggested proposals for a restructuring of the deanery. Every parishioner is invited to cast their vote on the proposal they think is the right one for us.
🙏 Please stay if you can. Your opinion matters!

📅 Enrolment for the first holy Communion preparation is open. The preparation will be monthly on Saturday mornings at St Joseph's 11am until 12 Noon. The dates will be sent to the parents before next weekend.

I hope you have a great week,

Fr Atli 🥰

Greetings from church ⭐

On Friday, we celebrated the beginning of the new year at school with a Mass.
Please join us in asking God to bless the children, staff and all who promote and support the school 🙏 Hopefully this will be a year of all that is good and happy! 🥰

‼️ Next weekend, (Fri-Sun) there will be three meetings to present and help all to chose the suggestion for the deanery that will take us forward to a future we can embrace as our own.

📅 From next weekend, we will be asking parents to sign their children up for the first holy Communion preparation.

As in previous years we are grateful to the schools that support us (Our Lady of Lourdes, Linaker, Birkdale and Farnborough Road). Obviously that thanks go to the catechists who generously give their time to the children.

As always: Thanks to the various ministers 😇, flower arrangers 🌻 and the cleaning teams 💪

Greetings from church!

School is going back this week, and for some the first day at school is upon them.
We think of all who work in education and ask God to bless them and their work.

Some will be going on holiday now that the prices are "off season" (I hope to be one of them soon).

Please have a look at the three proposed meetings about the restructuring of the deanery. If you can come along to one of them.

We are looking forward to welcoming Archbishop Sherrington on Sunday 11 October.

It is appropriate to say "Thank You" to all who help us have a church community that holds an open door to all who come, together create a place of safety, welcome, service and worship.

May you this week and every week be blessed with the strength that comes form living the gospel!

⭐ Greetings from church

This Sunday we will celebrate the joyous feast of the Assumption of Our Lady.

🥰 A summer thought:
Time away from work, whether on holiday or relaxing at home, can give us precious time to be with You, Lord, to renew our minds, refresh our hearts, and restore us spiritually and physically. Yet this opportunity is not available to everyone: refugees, parents of young children, and those who have lost their homes through natural disasters, war, or devastating wildfires may struggle to find moments of peace.
Lord, help us seek You even in the busiest seasons of life. Help us find moments with You while boiling the kettle, travelling to work, or simply pausing during the day. Remind us that You are always near. We need You, Lord. Teach us to recognise our need for You and draw closer to You each day. Amen 🙏

I trust you are enjoying the summer, the sun and the warm days.

Best wishes,
Fr Atli 😇
