HAILA D & HRISTOS
Many of our faithful contribute monthly to the Church expenses account and we thank all for their contributions. However we have been receiving donations for many years from a particular individual and we do not know who they are. Our bank reference for this person simply says HAILA D / HRISTOS. If this is you, please contact us immediately.

Wishing you all a blessed Apostle's Fast.

JUNE 2026 PARISH PROGRAMME

Please see attached the June 2026 Parish programme.

Please note our Young Adult event this evening in Balmoral Hall.

A reminder that nominations for the new Parish Council have begun and will be open until Sunday 14th June. To nominate you need to be an enrolled member of the Church (aged 18 and over, Baptised or Chrismated Orthodox, worship in our Church, have your contact details registered with us). Likewise the names you nominate (up to eight in total) need to also be enrolled Church members. You can nominate by email to: [email protected] or with nomination slips in the Church.

Not everyone who is nominated will automatically stand for election to the Parish Council. Some nominees may not fulfill the candidate requirements and also some may not wish to stand for election to the Parish Council at this time.

The Parish Council will replace the two current Church administrative bodies – the Community Board and the Charity trustees (once the new CIO is set up). It will be composed of 14 members; 8 elected members, 4 appointed members and two ex-officio clergy.

More information will follow shortly.

The Secretariat,

Sts BPP GOC

‘On June 1 we commmemorate the holy Martyr Justin the Philosopher.
On this day we also commemorate the holy Martyrs Chariton, Charito, Evelpistus, Hierax, Peon, and Valerian (or Liberianus), who witnessed with Saint Justin at Rome.
On this day we also commemorate the holy Martyr Firmus.
On this day we also commemorate the holy Martyr Thespesius.
We also relate the edifying story of the farmer named Metrios.
The Holy Hieromartyr and Bishop Pyrrus the Virgin who reposed in peace.
From the Pentecostarion.
On this day, Monday after Pentecost, we celebrate the all-holy, life-giving, and almighty Spirit, God, one of the Trinity, same in honor, essence, and glory with the Father and the Son.
Verses
Everything that breathes, glorify the Lord’s Spirit,
through whom gone is the impudence of evil spirits.
By the coming of Your Holy Spirit, by the intercessions of Your Apostles, O Christ God, have mercy on us.’
