22nd Southend-on-Sea Boys Brigade & Girls Association We provide a weekly evening of activities to boys and girls 5-18

Our Boys Brigade & Girls Association is part of the youth work at Belle Vue Baptist Church. We meet every week during term time, for youth from the age of 5 through to 18 offering activities suitable for the age of the member, including a mixture of physical, mental, creative and spiritual activities along with the opportunities to earn badges throughout their membership. Anchor Boys & Girls:
Tuesdays 6:10 - 7:25 pm
4-8 year olds (reception - year 3)

Junior Boys & Girls
Fridays 6:10 - 7:25 pm
8-11 year olds (year 4 - year 6)

Company Boys & Girls (joint group)
Fridays 7:45 - 9:30 pm
11-15 year olds (year 7 - 9)

Senior Boys & Girls (joint group aka Fusion)
Fridays 7:45 - 10:00 pm
15 - 18 year olds (year 10 - 13)

In addition to this each age group gets opportunities to go on all sorts of trips, take part in various competitions, and (for youth in year 6 onwards) Camping! We'd love you to come along and join the fun!

If you are wondering what to do today why not pop down to project southchurch kite festival.

Today is our 2nd Kite Festival. A massive thank you to Southend-on-Sea City Council & Visit Southend for their support.
We recommend you walk or take public transport to the event. Use c2c Rail to Southend East or Thorpe Bay, Arriva No 9 which goes along the Esplanade or make a day of it and explore the seafront on EnsignBusCo Route 99. As with last year there are no vendors at this event please take advantage of the many fantastic independent restaurants, hotels and bars along Eastern Esplanade for refreshments, enjoy the day out. Roslin Beach Hotel Camelia Hotel Dog & co coffee The Garrison Bakery Billy Hundreds Fish n Tapas Ocean Beach The Seafood Shack Attic Southend The Castle Hotel. You can also bring a picnic if you wish. Please place your rubbish in the bins provided, if full please take it home with you. Please note the Kites are the entertainment, no live music or other entertainment will be present. We will be joined by a number of photographers, the images will be used in media and on our social media sites. Please let them know if you would rather not have your picture taken. We will be joined by Southend City Radio who will be randomly selecting people to interview for a piece they are doing about this event. Cllr Matt Dent Bayo Alaba MP
