A few days ago, the Superior General of the Rogationists of the Heart of Jesus Congregation, Rev Fr Bruno Rampazzo, sent a message to all Rogationists religious and priests to “pay greater attention to our consecrated life, characterized by the Profession of Vows, with our gaze fixed on Christ and our Holy Founder... with the aim of "rekindling the gift of God" (cf. 2 Tim 1:6) and strengthening our fraternal communion of life with Christ and the poor.”
This is a timely reminder to remain rooted in God and in the gifts He provides to keep that identity steadfast amidst the changing times and the demands for flexibility at the service of communion and mission.
A parishioner shared this beautiful prayer we can offer for the priests:
“May the Most Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Christ the Eternal High Priest, accompany and sustain you. May she teach you, as a Mother to her beloved children, to say always Fiat to the will of Christ, her Son, who has chosen you to be His ministers. May she inspire you to often sing the Magnificat for the marvels which God is working in your priestly lives and through your pastoral ministry. May she lead you to imitate her Stabat at the foot of the Cross, when difficulties, misunderstandings and sufferings arise on your way to perfect holiness. In this way, with Mary and like her, you will taste the joy of the resurrection of Christ and witness to the whole world that Jesus is Lord !”
