Southbourne Food Bank Southbourne Food Bank has been set up to meet the needs of the local community in times of crisis.

We, as the Churches Together in Southbourne want to serve those in need in the local community. We are doing this in connection with Faithworks Wessex and Christchurch Foodbank. Food parcels can be collected from 10.30am - 12pm on Wednesdays and Fridays and 3pm - 4.30pm on Mondays from Immanuel Church Southbourne.

We just love supporting our local community but sometimes it's just not possible! Even we can't open the Food Bank on Bank Holidays. So advance warning: we will be closed on Monday 4th May and Monday 25 May. If you need to visit and can, please plan to visit us on the Friday before the Bank Holiday. And don't forget to ask for your voucher for TD Fruits and an Easter Egg (yep, we've still got some to give away!).

We are so delighted to announce that we have again teamed up with TD Fruits in Southbourne Grove to offer cash vouchers for use in their shop as part of the food bags we provide for those in need. This ensures that as well as the tinned and dried goods we provide local residents will be able to add fresh fruit and vegetables to their meals. Many thanks to Barry and Bonny for their help in setting this up.

Southbourne Food Bank would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who continues to support us with donations.

Your kindness really does make a difference to local people in need.

If anyone would like to drop off donations, we are currently in need of the following items:

• Bottles of squash
• Tinned tomatoes
• Long-life milk
• Rice pudding Ravioli

Donations can be dropped off at the food bank. Which is located at the back of Immanuel Church in Southbourne.

We are open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

🐣 Southbourne Easter Egg Appeal 🍫

We’re launching a small community fundraiser alongside Stewart Britton from Support Sobo to help bring a little Easter joy.

The idea is simple: £1 = 1 Easter Egg.

For every pound donated, we’ll buy an Easter egg that will be donated to the food bank in the lead-up to Easter so that children in families who need a bit of extra support can still enjoy a chocolate treat.

Every penny raised will be used solely to purchase Easter eggs. And we’ll share proof when we buy and donate them so everyone can see exactly where the money has gone.

If you’re able to donate even £1, it will make a difference. And if you can’t donate, simply sharing this post will really help us reach more people in the community.

So let’s come together as a community and make sure as many children as possible get a little Easter treat this year. 🐣🍫

We want to take a moment to publicly thank Stewart Britton for his incredible generosity and ongoing support of the Southbourne Food Bank at Immanuel Church.

Due to ongoing issues accessing our page since April. We haven’t been able to post his (and others) donation visits.

Stewart has been constantly bringing in donations, all of which are funded through various fundraising events within Southbourne. And he has been our chief fundraiser for the last few years. His dedication has helped us no end, keeping our shelves stocked and allowing us to continue supporting individuals and families across our community who really need it.

Stewart, please know that your hard work does not go unnoticed. You really are helping more people than you may ever realise. And we are truly grateful for everything you do for us and for Southbourne.

Now that our technical issues have finally been sorted, please keep an eye on this page. We’ll be posting again and hopefully more regularly. With updates on items we need and ways you can help support the food bank.
