The Mosque/Centre is named after 'Omar ibn Al-Khattāb (may Allah be pleased with him), one of the Righteous Companions of the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and the second Khalifah (Caliph) of Islam. 'Omar ibn Al-Khattāb was affectionately nicknamed "Al-Farooq," which refers to "one who has the ability to clearly distinguish between right and wrong" because of his strictness in enjoining go

od and forbidding evil.

•We believe in sacrificing, volunteerism, cooperation, forgiveness, tolerance, compassion, and action rather than words.

•Umar Al Farooq Islamic centre is place of gathering, learning, sanctity, and a place for connecting with Allah SWT and the community. A place to cultivate hassanat (good deeds) for the eternal life hereafter.
