FORNICATION IS A DESTRUCTIVE SIN. FORNICATION IS POISONOUS TO YOUR SPIRITUAL HEALTH
Fornication is unlawful or illicit s*xual imtercoursre, or premarital S*X. It is having s*xual relations outside the institution of marriage.
While we are on the topic of fornication it must be understood that. According to God's words Honourable and Lawful s*xual relations is considered, as s*xual relations between a man and woman within the institution of marriage. All other s*xual relations and any other scenarios are considered unlawful.
Fornication /having s*xual relations before marriage is a sinful act.
Hebrews 13:4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
THE bible command us to Flee fornication.
1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
HOW DO YOU FLEE FORNICATION
Stay away from anyone who entices you or coerce you to commit s*xual sins.
If you are dating and your partner is asking you or coercing you to have s*x,CUT OFF or SEVER THE RELATIONSHIP.
If situations arise, Flee fornication .Dont stay there and linger, Run like Joseph did. when he flees from Potiphers wife. Genesis 39:11-12. Donot stay there and reason it out. RUN from every forms of s*xual sins
Don't create unnecessary temptations for yourself. Stay away from lustful activities such as kissing and fondling. It only takes a spark to get a fire going.
Don't allow anyone to deceive you by telling you that kissing and fondling is okay because it is not s*x. It is lust and lust is sinful. In addition, kissing and fondling will lead you to commit s*xual imtercourse.
While Growing up as a young woman I was told by one my my prayer mother's that " Kissing is uptown shopping for downtown business".
And the same for fondling. Therefore avoid both of them.
Avoid watching po*******hy and s*xually explicit videos. Avoid feeding your mind on lustful, sensual materials. They weaken your resistance to fight sin, instead renew your mind daily with God's words.
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Avoid provocative dressing. Dress modestly
Avoid un******ng members of the opposite s*x with your eyes, mind and heart. When the temptation arises rehearse the words of God in your heart.
Stop Ma********ng it is lustful, sinful and destructive ( having s*xual pleasure with demons )
Don't fantasize having s*xual in*******se with your co workers fellow believers .
Resist the devil ( he has to flee )
Stay away from all forms of lusting.
Feast your mind on God's words, pertaining to lusts and fornication, Ask the Holy Spirit to hide them in your heart so that you may not sin against him. when the temptations of lustful desires and s*xual sins you wound them with the sword of the Spirit, which is the words of God. Instead of cherishing lustful thoughts. Rehearse the words of God in your hearts.
Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
If you are dating with the intention to get married. Date in groups. Try not to be alone in secluded places with your partner.
Don't invite him or her over when you are alone.
When I said date in groups I am not speaking about groups that encourage you to have s*x.
Believers, S*x is a good thing but it MUST BE Done ONLY WITHIN THE INSTITUTION OF Marriage.
DO not date unless you are ready for marriage.
Train your mind for godliness and holiness.
Titus 2:11-12
11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
Not only should we train our minds for holiness and righteousness but we must be practitioners of holiness. Putting Godliness into practice, presenting our bodies as living sacrifice for God as our spiritual act of worship unto God. Read Roman's 12:1-2
THE DANGERS OF FORNICATION
Fornication is rebellion against God. Fornication wrecked marriages, create havoc in CHURCHES and SOCIETY.,destroys reputation and destructive to our own spiritual health.
Anointed men and women of God fornication will destroy your anointing. You may be still gifted ,but fails to operate within the power and demonstration of the Holy Spirit.
If you are currently practcising fornication , The Holy Spirit Wil leave you, as he cannot dwell or live in unclean vessels.
However if you are currently in this state you have the opportunity to Repent and return to Christ, and the Holy Spirit will return and take up residence within you.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Not only does fornication involve sinning against another person, but it is sinning against our own bodies. It can destroy our bodies mind and souls
1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.1 Corinthians 6:9-10
9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
Fornication if not repented, can cause you to miss heaven. See the scripture above.
I remember, as a young girl I read a headline in a newspaper of a Choir director who died in the act of Fornication.
Think seriously about that, what if you died in the act of commuting fornication?
There is no repentance in the grave.
Ask yourself the question. What if I die committing the act of fornication. Where will I spend my long eternity?
Ephesians 5:5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Romans 12:1-2
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Believers Flee fornication and pursue HOLINESS .
1 Peter 1:15-16
15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
