The Province of Tessac

The Province of Tessac Founded on 12th November 2008, the Province includes the Diocese of Hamtun based in Southampton.

The Province of the Ecumenical Society of Saint Augustine of Canterbury (TESSAC) is a Priestly Society without vows, whose purpose is the Priesthood and that which pertains to it. TESSAC comprises clergy and missions and was founded by The Right Reverend Robert C. McBride BA (Hons), OSP on the Feast Day of St Martin, I, Pope and Martyr, 12th of November in the year of our Lord 2008 . TESSAC is not

a member Society of any mainstream church, such as the Roman Catholic or Orthodox Churches, but does share in their Apostolic Successions. The Oratory in Southampton is a private chapel not open to the general public, and attendance is by invitation only.

If you are in any doubt that the Jehovah Witnesses are not Christians, I just had a phone call from a former parishioner who has joined them. He was told that he had to telephone friends and tell them that they can no longer be friends because they are part of a false religion! I said if it his choice to join them that’s up to him, but what religion makes you drop friends simply because of what they believe? He was told that he had to disown us and make sure that we know what we follow is false and of Satan! No where does Jesus say anything of the sort. They misquote scripture and force people to lose their friends and support network so they get complete control of their lives.

What a sad day.
