Southampton City Mission Independent Christian mission seeking to serve the Church as it serves our City. SCM Schools delivers professional, creative and entertaining R.E.

days and assemblies to 50+ primary/infant/junior schools in the city. SCM Basics Banks give food to individuals and families via a referral voucher system. This voucher also entitles them to choose clothes for themselves and their family from the SCM Clothes Bank.

We had a lovely week reminiscing over the last 30 years of Basics Bank, highlighting all those who have made it possible.

We also spent the week giving cake and cards to our wonderful volunteers who are currently working with us. A small thank you for the amazing work they do each week.

Our final thank you in our 30th anniversary of Basics Bank: to our clients.

SCM Basics Bank is there to support anyone who needs us. There are so many different reasons someone may need emergency help. They could be suffering from domestic abuse, having a mental health crisis, dealing with family illness, redundancy or many other different problems. Basics Bank is there to support and love our neighbours, with no judgement, through the provision of emergency food, clothes, respect, listening and a million cups of tea.

If you have had to turn to us in the last 30 years, please know you are loved and cherished and we were glad to help you as you got back on your feet.

Thank you to Southampton, what a 30 years.
We pray for our country, that we can remove the need for emergency Food Banks in the next 10 years.

Next up for our 30th anniversary thank you: the wonderful Churches of Southampton.

Our current Basics Banks are hosted by 6 churches across Southampton. We are so grateful for your partnership in this long running provision, Not only for the use of your buildings, or all of the donations of food, clothes and money, but especially for your prayers and all of the fun, hard working and compassionate volunteers from your church families.

We have worked with so many churches in our 30 year history and we are so thankful for those relationships and your partnership in showing people some of
the massive love Jesus has for them.

Today we want to thank the wonderful schools in Southampton, as a part of our 30 years of Basics Bank!

Thank you for every Harvest, Christmas and Easter collection you have done over the years. Your donations are massive help in providing to those in need across the city.

Watching our warehouse overflow with donations at Harvest is one of our favorite times of year. It is lovely to see children excited to bring their tin into school. We are so grateful to all the amazing pupils, parents and teachers who make this possible every year.

As we continue to recognise 30 years of Basics Bank, today we want to thank the amazing people of Southampton, the businesses and the supermarkets that have supported us with donations of food, clothes and money over the last 30 years.

It is down to your generosity that Basics Bank has food to give out to those who need it most in Southampton. Whether you have donated 1 tin or 100 tins we are so grateful for your donation, it all adds up to make such a difference.

For 30 years we have been giving free food and clothes to anyone in need across Southampton. We are spending the week highlighting and thanking all those who have made this possible.

This week SCM Basics Bank turns 30 years old! For 30 years we have been giving free food and clothes to anyone in need across Southampton.

We are going to spend the week highlighting and thanking all those who have made this possible.

Today we want to honour our wonderful volunteers, past and present. SCM Basics Bank would not be able to run without them. These wonderful people give up their time and energy to serve their community in Southampton and they do an amazing job!!
