Can you help someone in our local community?
I hope you don’t mind me reaching out. I’m Lucy, a local mum from the Botley area, and I’m hoping our lovely community might be able to help me with something that would make a huge difference to my life and my family.
I became disabled after catching Covid in 2022 and now rely on a powered wheelchair. Unfortunately, my current chair really limits where I can go and what I can do, which often means missing out on everyday family adventures that most people probably wouldn't think twice about.
I’ve been fundraising for an XSTO M4 wheelchair that would give me much more independence and allow me to be properly involved in family life again.
Recently, something amazing happened. After seeing my fundraiser, Lifestyle & Mobility offered me the wheelchair at a substantially reduced price, meaning I now need to raise £2,500 instead of around £4,000.
The only catch is that I have a limited amount of time to do it.
💜 We’ve already reached £915, but I now have just 8 days to raise the remaining £1,585.
I know times are difficult for lots of families and I would never expect anyone to donate if they aren't able to. Even a share could put my story in front of someone new, and lots of small acts of kindness really can add up.
For me, this wheelchair represents so much more than getting from A to B. It means more independence, more time out with my family and hopefully fewer occasions where I have to stay behind because my wheelchair can't manage where they're going.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and for any support our local community might be able to give us. It genuinely means a lot. 💜
