This declaration of faith is merely an imperfect attempt to "give a reason for the hope" that has been stirred within us by the Word of God — the only, infallible, and fully sufficient authority in all truths of faith and practices of Christian life. DECLARATION OF FAITH
We believe:
• in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who is fully sovereign in His decisions;
• in the Holy Scripture inspired by God, which is the sole source of our faith;
• that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary;
• that Jesus Christ was crucified, died, descended into the abyss, rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, where He sits at the right hand of the Father as the only mediator between God and man;
• that all are born with a nature of sin, therefore are separated from God;
• that repentance is God's decree; it is necessary for reconciliation with God, forgiveness of sins, and deliverance from the nature of sin;
• that the Holy Spirit convicts one of sin, righteousness, and judgment; enables one to repent and to be born again; enables one to live a sanctified life and persevere in holiness;
• that all who have repented should be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit for the forgiveness of sins to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit;
• in the rapture of the Church before the Great Tribulation, which will be the outpouring of God's Wrath;
• in the repeated coming of Jesus Christ with all the saints, which will end the time of the Great Tribulation and begin His millennial reign;
• that the Universal Church is the Body of Christ on earth, maintaining spiritual unity above all divisions, and that every spiritually born again and practicing believer is its integral part;
• that Local Churches constitute the Universal Church on earth; that they are congregations of Christians, organized independently, self-governing, and gathering in specific places;
• that the Church's mission is to proclaim the Gospel to all people and make them disciples of Jesus Christ;
• in the Lord's Supper as a holy, unique, and solemn sacrament, instituted by Jesus Christ in the form of bread and wine;
• in the resurrection of every person, justification of the saved, and judgement over the condemned.
