*AB MASJID BEREAVEMENT OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT (10/06/2026)*

‎السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته
‎إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ
Verily we belong to Allah and Verily to Him we return.

It is with great pain, a heavy heart, sadness and in contentment with the decree of Allah, we announce the passing of our 63 Year Old Aunty *Badrunnisa Khan* residing in Tara Dawnay Close, Southampton. She is the mother of Hilal who is a regular at our masjid and well known to us all.
She leaves behind a Husband and 4 Children.

The Janazah & Burial of *Our Aunty Badrunnisa* will be taking place at Abu Bakr Masjid sometime this week iA, we will keep you posted & informed asap.

‎ لله ماأخذ ولله مااعطي
‎اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِر لٓهُ وَارْفَعْ دَرَجَتَهُ الْمَهْدِيِّينَ وَاخْلُفْهُ فِي
‎ عَقِبِهِ فِي الْغَابِرِينَ وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلَهُ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ وَأَفْسِحْ لَهُ فِي قَبْرِهِ وَنَوِّرْ لَهُ فِيهِ
‎اٰمِيْن ثُمَّ اٰمِيْن يٓا رَبّ الْعَالَمِيْن

*It belongs to Allah what he has taken and it belongs to Allah what he has given. O Allah, forgive her, raise her rank amongst the guided ones, and be her successor in taking care of her descendants who she has left behind. Forgive us and her, O Lord of the worlds. Make her grave spacious for her and enlighten for her therein.*

Please remember Our Sister, her kids, and all thier family in your special duas.

May اللَّه سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى grant all the Marhooms complete forgiveness and elevate their stages in the Hereafter.

May اللَّه سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى grant the family Sabrun Jameel.

Alhamdulillah, we are pleased to share that the new carpet has now been installed in our masjid. It has truly brightened and refreshed the prayer space for our community.

We pray that Allah ﷻ blesses everyone who contributed towards this effort and accepts every salah, dua, and moment of remembrance made here. May our masjid always remain a place of peace, unity, and barakah for all.

The Janazah Salah of *Brother Samieulah Nassari , Father of 6 and Grandfather,* will take place at Abu Bakr Masjid tomorrow, *Thurs 14th May @ 11am*

Burial will take place thereafter at 12pm at Stoneham Cemetery, Stoneham Cemetery Road, So18 2nf

The family have also requested that if there any issues or debts that were owed by Uncle Samieulah then please contact his son Farid to resolve these issues, Farid can be contacted on +44 7401 248669

*Latest Update for Hafiz Assad - 6pm on 11/05/26*

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh

With heavy hearts we inform you that our brother Hafiz Assad underwent open heart surgery and is now in critical condition, on a ventilator in ICU.

We ask Allah, Ash-Shafi, Al-Mu’afi, to grant him complete shifa, to make his condition stable, and to ease his pain. We ask Allah to give strength to his family and to guide the medical team.

We turn to Allah in this moment of trial, for He alone gives life and takes it, He alone cures and grants relief. We make dua:

“Allahumma Rabban-nas, adhhibil-ba’s, ishfi anta ash-Shafi, la shifa’a illa shifa’uka, shifa’an la yughadiru saqama”
O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove the harm and cure him. You are the Healer, there is no cure except Your cure, a cure that leaves no illness.

We ask Allah to stabilize Hafiz’s condition, to grant him strength to come through this, to reward him for his patience, and to give his family sabr and tawakkul. We ask Allah to bless the doctors and nurses with wisdom and steadiness.

The believer is tested, and with hardship comes ease. Please increase your dua for him in these hours.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “The dua of a Muslim for his brother in his absence is answered.” Please remember him in your sujood, tahajjud, and after every prayer.

May Allah reward you immensely for standing with him in dua.

May Allah grant him patience, the doctors skill and steadiness, and a quick recovery.

We ask you to make dua for our brother Hafiz Assad

The Prophet ﷺ said: “There is no disease that Allah has created, except that He also has created its treatment.” We ask Allah, Ash-Shafi, the Healer, to grant Hafiz complete shifa, to make the surgery easy, to guide the medical team, and to return him to his family healthy and stronger.

Please remember him in your prayers and after every salah. May Allah reward you all.

It is with great pain, a heavy heart, sadness and in contentment with the decree of Allah, we announce sudden the passing of our 61 Year Old Brother *SAMIEULAH NASSARI,* of Percy Road Southampton. He leaves behind his wife, 6 Children, Grandchildren and other family members.

*Our Brother has left this world and returned to Allah's Mercy.*

The Janazah Salaah and Burial of *Brother Samieulah Nassari* will be taking place at Abu Bakr Masjid sometime next week iA, we will keep you posted & informed asap.
