As the pilgrims stand at Arafah on the most blessed of days thanking Allah for his enumerate blessings and seeking his divine favour and forgiveness, it’s imperative we understand and appreciate the significance of this occasion and make concerted attempts to draw closer to him via the performance of good deeds.
Tomorrow marks the 9th of Dhul Hijjah which corresponds to the blessed Day of Arafah with Eid Ul Adha falling on Wednesday (*Eid Khutbah 8:30am, Jama’ah 9am*) inshallah. It is a sacred day full of blessings and abundant opportunities to gain immense reward, as well as seek salvation. The Prophet ﷺ said, “_There is no day in which Allah sets free more souls from the fire of hell than on the day of Arafah_,” (Muslim).
Among the principal good deeds that have the greatest reward associated with them- especially for the non-hujjaaj- is Sadaqah (charity). Charity extinguishes our sins just like water extinguishes fire, so let’s take this opportunity to give generously towards noble causes, remember our brothers and sisters across the world, particularly Palestine, in our pious prayers and be sure to fast on this noble day.
Please don’t forget to remember Al-Hayat Centre in your duas and be sure to contribute wholeheartedly towards our Youth Centre supplies. We need to raise around £2000 in order to get it up and running and for that, we need your support inshallah. Please donate whatever you can via the justgiving link or account details below.
May Allah accept it on your behalf and on behalf of your loved ones. Barakallahu fikum.
