This Tuesday, **Joseph Fortuna** continues our Beatitudes series with “Blessed are those who mourn.” We will consider how Jesus meets us in sorrow, regret and loss, and offers forgiveness, healing and hope.

There will also be time to share good news, testimonies and prayer requests before we pray together for the needs raised.

Celebrating New Chapters: Leadership Transitions Across the NEC

The North England Conference celebrates four members of the NEC family as they step into new seasons of ministry and leadership.

Following the recent British Union Conference Session:

Pastor Emanuel Bran has been elected Executive Secretary of the British Union Conference.

Pastor Obinnaya “Obi” Iheoma has been elected President of the Scottish Mission.

Pastor Dan Majaducon has accepted a call to serve within the Southeastern Conference in Florida, USA, subject to the completion of the necessary immigration and visa requirements.

Michael Kwasi Agyei-Asare has accepted a call to serve as Chief Financial Officer of Hope Channel Canada.

We are deeply grateful for their faithful service, leadership and commitment to the mission of the Church. Although they will be greatly missed, we celebrate the new opportunities God has placed before them.

Please join us in praying for Emanuel, Obi, Dan and Michael, together with their families, as they begin these exciting new chapters. We also ask you to continue praying for the North England Conference during this season of transition.

The South England Conference of the Seventh day Adventists has a new President👇

The Executive Committee met on Sunday, July 12, and chose Pastor Kwesi Moore as the new president of the South England Conference. He is replacing Dr Kirk Thomas, who was recently elected president of the British Union Conference. Pastor Moore has served as the SEC Ministerial Association Secretary since September 2023.

WHO HAS DESPISED THE DAY OF SMALL THINGS?

Children may be small in size, but they are never small in God's eyes.

This Saturday is Children's Day at South Shields SDA Church: a special day celebrating the value, potential, and importance of every child. Through worship, music, and the message from Zechariah 4:10, Dr Iise Chew will remind us that God often does His greatest work through what the world overlooks.

THE GOOD WORKMAN

There is a kind of life that does not need to pretend.

2 Timothy 2:15 speaks about standing before God without shame, doing the work faithfully, and handling His word with care. That is not just for preachers. It is for anyone trying to live with honesty, purpose, and a clear conscience.

This Saturday, Pastor Sandy Pairman will share a message titled “The Good Workman”, reflecting on what it means to live approved by God in the ordinary places of life.

With hymns like “Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven” and “Face to Face”, this will be a thoughtful and hopeful morning of worship.

There’ll also be a children’s story from Pastor Sandy, so families are warmly welcome.

TRUTH IN THE AGE OF LIES

We live in a time where everyone has an opinion, every screen is shouting, and it’s getting harder to know what is actually true.

This Saturday, Pastor Dan Dachin opens John 8:31–32 and explores what Jesus meant when He said, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Not just information. Freedom. Clarity. A solid place to stand when everything else feels uncertain.

With hymns like “Give Me the Bible” and “Trust and Obey,” this will be a grounded and practical morning of worship for real life.
