Creator God, our joy is in the beauty of creation, in the splendour of nature and in bringing well-being and peace to the lives of those we are called to serve.

Generous God, our hearts are filled with sorrow when humanity tears itself apart in war, in conflict, in the devaluing of individuals and of creation.

Pour into us your life-giving grace that we may be the light of heaven in the darkness of the world. May we strive to make the world a better place, strengthened by Christ who lives in and through us. Amen.

Author of life divine, whose song unleashes beauty, creating wonder and inspiring awe. You call our voices out, join them in a renewing melody which is older than time. You lead us, then move us, in a dance lost in wonder, love, and praise. In such moments, our humanity reverberates with grace and we know ourselves beloved. Amen.

Happy New Year to all.
Those starting a new Job or new school, new class may you be richly blessed in this new year.
Within the Methodist Church, September is the beginning of a new Year. We look forward to lots of new and exciting things and the restarting of all the various groups.

Pray with us today.

All loving and all-embracing God, our hearts overflow with gratitude when we think and feel your love, manifested in Jesus Christ and poured into our hearts by your Holy Spirit. Let our response be spontaneous praise, praying fervently, reading your words passionately and welcoming the strangers genuinely. Give us charismatic smiles, courteous words and sacrificial hearts when we approach others with your love. Help us to overcome the temptation of being engaged in pious acts to win your favour and instead teach us to live in solidarity with you and with the needy and suffering. Let us and our churches reflect your love in a love-hungry world, now and always. Amen.
