Today we celebrated our First Holy Communion Sending Forth Mass, a joyful occasion as more than 60 of our children gathered once again with their families to receive their certificates and mark the completion of their sacramental journey.

Over the past few weeks, these young people have taken a very special step in their faith, receiving Jesus in Holy Communion for the first time. Today was an opportunity to celebrate all they have achieved, to give thanks for the support of their families and catechists, and to send them forth with our prayers and encouragement as they continue to grow in faith.

We congratulate each and every one of our First Communicants and pray that the joy they have experienced will remain with them throughout their lives.

“Jesus said, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry.’” (John 6:35)

May God bless all our children and their families. 🙏⛪💛

Please pray for Henry Fallon who is to be baptised this weekend. We welcome him into the Church.

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, Corpus Christi.

In the Eucharist, Jesus gives Himself completely to us, nourishing us with His Body and Blood and drawing us ever closer to Him.

As we gather around the altar today, may we give thanks for this greatest gift of love and be renewed in faith, hope and charity.

“Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.” (John 6:56)

Blessed Solemnity of Corpus Christi.

Today, some of our talented musicians had the privilege of singing with the choir at the Mass of Renewal for Deacons at St Chad’s Cathedral, celebrated by Archbishop Bernard Longley.

It was a joyful and uplifting celebration, bringing together deacons from across the Archdiocese as they renewed their commitment to serve Christ and His Church. We are proud of our musicians for contributing to such a prayerful and inspiring occasion through their gift of music.

Please keep all our deacons in your prayers as they continue their ministry of service, charity and proclamation of the Gospel. Archdiocese of Birmingham

Our Eucharistic Ministers will renew their commitment to this important ministry during Masses on the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, Corpus Christi, on the weekend of 6th/7th June.

We give thanks for the dedication, faith and quiet service of all those who help bring Holy Communion to our parish community and to those unable to attend Mass. Please keep them in your prayers as they renew their commitment to serving Christ and His Church.
