🙏 Sometimes prayer is simply bringing whatever is on our hearts to God.

The things we’re thankful for.
The things we’re worried about.
The questions we don’t have answers to.
The situations we can’t control.

God hears every prayer, even when the answer doesn’t come in the way or at the time we expect.

So today, speak to Him. Ask Him. Trust Him. 💙

And when you don’t know what to say, simply begin with, “Lord, I’m here.”

🙏 When you speak, God listens.
🙏 When you ask, God answers.
🙏 When you trust, God provides.

🎒📚 A new school year begins! 📚🎒

As our children and young people head back to school, we wish every one of them a happy and exciting year ahead. 💙

For some, it’s a return to familiar classrooms and friends. For others, it’s a big new adventure, starting school for the very first time, moving up to secondary school or beginning at a new school.

We pray that God will walk beside you through every new experience, every challenge, every friendship and every opportunity to learn and grow. 🙏

And to all our teachers, school staff and families supporting them along the way, we pray for you too.

May the year ahead be filled with friendship, confidence, kindness, laughter and many happy memories.

🌍🙏 World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation

On 1 September, Catholics around the world are invited to pause, pray and give thanks for the wonderful gift of creation, our common home.

This year, Pope Leo XIV draws us to the words of Isaiah:

“They shall beat their swords into ploughshares and their spears into pruning hooks.” Isaiah 2:4

We pray for a world where the resources used for conflict and destruction might instead bring life, feed the hungry, care for the poor and protect our beautiful planet. 🌱🕊️

May we also look at the choices we make each day and ask how we can better care for the world God has entrusted to us.

Creator God, open our eyes to the beauty of your creation, renew our hearts and help us to be people of peace, hope and care. Amen. 💚

The World Day of Prayer also marks the beginning of the Season of Creation, which continues until the Feast of St Francis of Assisi on 4 October.
